The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ has officially made splashdown, with GM pulling the sheets at a special debut event in New York City. With sleek styling, a wealth of high-tech features, and upwards of 750 horsepower, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ takes the iconic Escalade nameplate in an all-new, all-electric direction. Now, you can relive the big reveal in the following video.
Clocking in at a bit under 23-and-a-half minutes, the reveal video covers the moment that the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ made its official debut, but also includes insights from various GM bigwigs, including those from Vice President, Global Cadillac, John Roth, GM President Mark Reuss, and Cadillac Escalade IQ Chief Engineer Mandi Damman, among others.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ starts with the 24-module, 200 kWh GM Ultium battery pack, which can provide as much as 450 miles of range on a full charge. Using the onboard 800-volt DC quick-charge capabilities, the battery will gain upwards of 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes. Meanwhile, users can leverage the bidirectional charging capabilities to power their home during peak hours to offset energy costs, or to minimize the impact of a power outage.
Turning the electrons into forward momentum is a set of front- and rear-mounted GM Ultium Drive motors, which dole out a maximum of 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. Properly applied, it’s enough muscle to send the full-size SUV from a standstill to 60 mph in less than five seconds. Towing capacity is set at 8,000 pounds.
Beyond the technical specs, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ looks the part of a luxury icon thanks to new, streamlined styling, with Luxury and Sport trim levels standing out thanks to unique exterior details. The cabin space is also quite impressive, with a massive 55-inch LED display mounted on the dash. The GM Super Cruise system is optional.

I like the vehicle basically – but at the moment the pricing is too rich… The base ICE Escalade starts in the $79,000 range.
$130,000 could be lowered by decontenting the vehicle. The ‘TECH’ trim on the LYRIQ is basically going in the right direction – but I would appreciate a ‘sub-tech’ trim that removes the silly stockbroker dashboard, removes the standard 5G , which is a deal-breaker for me on any vehicle, a 32 ampere charging facility in lieu of the 48 ampere one, and no choreographed lighting. This ‘lowering of price’ was done by doing a large amount of decontenting, but they could drop it by several thousand more. It actually was a price increase, seeing as a 2024 LYRIQ is around $10,000 more than the equivalent 2023 model, if optioned similarly.
The one good thing I can say about my 2023 LYRIQ is possibly there will be a huge boost in offers at trade-in-time.
The motorized doors and motorized charging ports are more silly things no one has asked for. How many motorized gas caps are there on other ICE high end Cadillacs?.
This will be the wealthy favorite vehicle. So Cadillac will sell many units by 2025. I wonder if tbe next Presdent will have this Cadillac as the new “Beast”.
