The last opportunity for dealers to order a 2023 Chevy Bolt EV or 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV in Radiant Red Tintcoat (color code GNT) exterior paint is between now and the week of September 11th, 2023.
Additionally, GM Authority has learned that Radiant Red Tintcoat will be built out after the week of November 13th, 2023, with the last Chevy Bolt EV and EUV units in the color produced during that week.
Radiant Red Tintcoat is a new exterior color introduced to the Chevy Bolt EV for the 2023 model as the only new tint. It is offered as an extra-cost tint priced at $495 and is an option for both trim levels, 1LT and 2LT. It can only be ordered in combination with one interior colorway, Jet Black.
The 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV also received Radiant Red Tintcoat as a new color choice for 2023, once again priced at an additional $495 if selected and providing the seventh available color in the lineup. The hue is available on both trim levels of the all-electric subcompact crossover, including the LT and the Premier.
Radiant Red Tintcoat cannot be ordered in conjunction with the Redline Edition package on the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. However, it can be combined with all three available interior colorways offered for the model, including Dark Ash Gray/Sky Cool Gray, Jet Black, and Jet Black/Nightshift Blue.
The 2023 models of the Chevy Bolt EV and Chevy Bolt EUV were originally scheduled to end production in November, but GM decided to extend production into December, as GM Authority previously reported. The total production for each model will amount to a full 17 months.
While the 2023 Chevy Bolt was originally intended to sunset the nameplate permanently when it ceased production, GM subsequently announced it will produce a next-generation Bolt in response to popular demand. While power and motivation will be supplied by GM Ultium battery and Ultium Drive motor technologies, providing a claimed 40-percent cost saving in manufacture, the new Bolt won’t be a fully clean-sheet redesign.
As a reminder, both the Chevy Bolt EV and EUV ride on the GM BEV2 platform and are motivated by the same single-drive electric motor developing 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Energy is supplied by the 65 kWh lithium-ion battery, which offers 259 or 247 miles of range per charge.
Production for both models takes place at the GM Lake Orion plant in Michigan.

I have a 2023 Bolt EUV and it’s the nicest car I have ever owned (yes, I have owned muscle cars, classics, trucks, etc). I really like how much money it’s saving me and how I can ride in the carpool lane by myself. I got the 2023 Bolt EUV when my 2021 Bolt EV was recalled, so GM did right by me. I really liked the 2021 Bolt as well, but the 2023 EUV with all the options is a lot nicer. I’m glad to hear they will bring back this economical electric vehicle with some upgraded batteries. More economical vehicles of this caliber are needed. Eventually more people will have the experience I have, so GM and it’s customers will benefit (I hope).
I agree. I’ve owned many cars in my lifetime and the Bolt is the best.
Lol 😂, this is a funny article. Hurry up and pick a color for a car you cannot get. All are sold out and production is ending in November. Geez guys, find something relevant.
Umm…read the article.
I did. So GM is going to bring back the Bolt, we knew that, maybe we’ll get it in “Radiant Red Tintcoat.” Really, WTF
For the Ultium Bolt they’d better make the EUV actually have the functionality to backup the name. Give it optional all wheel drive and some other minor differentiations.
