Exclusive limited-edition timepieces are now available from Detroit Watch Company to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Cadillac V-series in the form of the V-Series Classic Chrono watch, with a shipping date of mid-September per the company’s description.
The V-Series Classic Chrono watch comes in a choice of striking red, blue, or gold face colors to match the “signature colors” of Cadillac V-series vehicles, and feature a design inspired by the emblem of Cadillac’s collection of high-performance luxury sedans.
A total of 60 V-Series Classic Chrono watches have been hand-built by Detroit Watch Company, 20 in each of the three colors and with each bearing a number from 1 to 20. The company is limiting the run of each watch to twenty individual timepieces specifically to mark the 20 years that have passed since the Cadillac V-Series sub-brand originally launched in March of calendar 2004.
The watches use high-quality Swiss automatic movements and have both self-winding and manual winding capabilities. The hairspring which provides the watch with its Swiss precision, and which requires tolerances of 0.1 micron or better to provide the best accuracy, is made from Anachron, a material said to be even better-performing than the Nivarox (an alloy of cobalt, nickel, chromium , beryllium and titanium) used in most top-grade Swiss watches,
The V-Series Classic Chrono watch displays the time using hour, minute, and second hands on a dial rather than digital numbers. The day and date are displayed in windows on the right-hand side of the dial. There is a 60-second, 30-minute, and 12-hour chronograph for timing. Detroit Watch Company claims the day and date can be quickly and easily adjusted.
The Cadillac inspired watch is water-resistant to five atmospheres, or pressures of roughly 164 feet underwater, and is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Customers can order specific numbers from 1 to 20 in each color while supplies last, and each watch is priced at $3,500.
The latest release is part of Cadillac’s year-long celebration of the V-series, lasting from March 2023 to March 2024. The current Cadillac V-Seres production vehicle lineup consists of the CT4-V, CT4-V Blackwing, CT5-V, CT5-V Blackwing, and Escalade-V.
Former Global Vice President of Cadillac Rory Harvey said the “V-Series has transformed Cadillac and helped redefine performance luxury for thousands of enthusiasts” and that the year-long event will “celebrate V-Series with a number of significant moments.”

Since some time a watch is surperfluous, all people look time at the mobile telephone and watch since long is just decorative in parties and events… have 4 good digital watches citizen casio etc but never use here in laptop has the time box right down. yes there is jacob patek phillippe movado casio a lange sohne etc watches but they are all expensive and just decorative… those ones shown here are also only decorative too
If I were vain and needing of attention, I’d go with the yellow (gold??) one. But I’m not and don’t need some thug robbing me because of the bling on my wrist. Nice looking though.
It’s not solid gold. It’s not a Patek Philippe. And it sure isn’t a Rolex. So you will not be getting robbed wearing that watch trust me.
These are beautiful timepieces. A terrific decision to match a high-grade watch with the V Series Cadillac. The price is reasonable for the stated quality of the watch. I strongly encourage Cadillac to keep a mix of ICE vehicles in their lineup. High performance comes in many forms.
No affiliation with Shinola. Detroit Watch Company is a stand alone exclusive watch company in Michigan
I’m not tethered to my phone and wear a watch to check the time and it’s traditional. I prefer a mechanical movement, just like ICE. Most Swiss movements are made by the same company. What is the size? I don’t like an alarm clock sized watch.
Least I’m glad that the watch is priced appropriately since the Vs are expensive cars from the start to match that rarity.
I use to wear watches all the time and I stop wearing them because I got tired of getting them fix rather it was a loose wrist strap, battery replacement and etc. Watches are beautiful to have but they are somewhat of a hassle. I generally use my Smartphone to see what time it is anymore.
Agree 100%. I wear an analog watch to the office everyday and have for the past 41 years. My current watch is a traditional design in gold color to match my wedding band. It’s 15 years old because I dislike the current style of giant watches. Yes, I do carry a smart phone as well but it’s easier to glance at my watch. I have always liked watches since I got my first Timex in first grade in 1965.
I’m really excited about the new Cadillac V Swiss made watches. I think they’re a great way to represent the Cadillac name and its history of luxury and innovation. The watches are beautifully made and feature some of the same design elements as Cadillac cars. I’m also glad that they’re being made by a boutique company in Detroit.
PS: The potential for these watches to become a collectible is very great. Remember Cadillac invented the first front wheel drive vehicle!
I’ve always appreciated a good looking quality analog watch and this one for it’s simplicity and uniqueness is no exception. Recently retired, I really have no occasions to wear one anymore, don’t wear the few I have and somehow I’ve grown dependent on a freakin’ smart watch which may be an electronic marvel (like EV’s) but has zero mechanical tech to impress. Happily, GM satisfies this portion with the V series Blackwing and C8 parked behind me in the garage. But that watch sure is pretty. Tempting…
I would like to purchase a blue bezel watch. Please keep me posted.
