All three trim levels (Tech, Luxury, Sport) are available in the U.S. with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Even greater opportunity for customization.
Ya,because the popularity of them is going down.
MUST TAKE DELIVERY BY SEPTEMBER 5TH 2023. I THINK THEY MEANT 2025, SINCE I ORDERED ONE A YEAR AGO AND NO ONE KNOWS WHERE OR WHEN I’M GOING TO GET IT. I SOMETIMES THINK THEY’RE JOKING.
I don’t understand why it is taking you so long for your order. I recently purchased an XT5, so I was at 4 dealerships in the last two months. All of the dealers had Lyriqs on the lot unsold. I hope the union doesn’t strike. You may be waiting a lot longer…..
IF YOU DO THE MATH CORRECTLY AND ADD TAXES YOU CAN ALMOST BUY THE CAR FOR A LITTLE MORE.

All of the 2023 Debut Editions were sold out long ago and many orders were rolled over to 2024 models. However, Cadillac for some time has only been producing the lower level trims and in limited colors. Only a few were AWD.
It was only recently that the higher trim levels and white cars went into production. My order of a white Lux2 AWD may eventually be produced in enough numbers that I will get mine. Others still waiting are in a similar situation.
There are Lyriqs sitting on dealer lots because GM clamped down on dealers selling Lyriqs above MSRP that were delivered to the person who originally ordered the car. GM held the dealers in line by threatening to cut future allocations if they got caught.
However, if the person who ordered the car backed out before delivery and there have been many who got tired of GM’s almost total information blackout and moved on, the dealer could add whatever “market adjustment” or outrageously priced add-ons ($200 for nitrogen in the tires) people will pay for.
These cars are mostly the lower trim levels and are not moving, thus the price cut and lease incentives.
Saw this car at the dealership recently. Absolutely beautiful. Build it with a gas engine..I’ll buy one. NEVER WILL I PURCHASE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE.
EV tech will continually get better. It’s already a better experience than ICE vehicles. Try one!
I did. It wasn’t a better experience. People like you are simply spreading green propaganda, when in fact EVs aren’t really greener. When I buy a green car, it will say “H2 Only” on the gas tank filler.
Saw this car at a Cadillac dealership recently, it’s not only ugly, but super ugly, its rear end reminds me of that $340,000+ super ugly hearse mobile. Are you planning on buying one?
Exactly, I can lease a sport for 55k and change and have nothing at end of lease. Or I can buy it for 8k more and have a car that is mine. Who in their right mind would pay these amounts to lease these?
You’re not considering financing. A lease includes financing. To compare you have to calculate the cost of financing a LYRIC. Interest rates are through the roof now.
The reality is luxury cars depreciate quickly…so the car will worth less than 50% of its MSRP at the end of 3 years regardless of whether you lease or buy.
I’m not saying these lease are a good buy…however you must compare apples to apples.
you only have to consider financing if you plan on financing. Also, the interest rates are leases are nearly double what someone with good credit can get if they finance.
You quickly find the interest rate of a lease by multiplying the money factor by 2400.
Unfortunately, often the money factor is not prominently shown, but it must be on the contract.
Why would anybody lease? You’re paying $55,120 for a suv that costs 62,000. Might as well pay the extra $8000 so you can own it and drive more then 10,000 miles a year. 10,000 miles a year you can’t even enjoy it like you should. The rip off game is real. To pay all that money to really not own it is wild to me.
While I agree it is a total rip, not quite as bad as you suggest. The tech lease is 35.8K for a 58.5K tech. The high lease is for a sport level 3AWD which is more than the base sport msrp they listed. But using the tech because it is probably a base no frills 35.8/58.5 is 61% so a residual of a paltry 39% for a car when turned in has at most 30K miles. Not very good. It should tell everyone to stay away because gm financial thinks the values are going to drop like a stone. I expect EV’s are going to drop quickly as the tech advances quickly. Think about electronics and the throw awayness of stuff like PC’s cell phones, …
Why lease? My wife and I are older and retired. With our RMDs our income is too high to qualify for the $7,500 IRA tax credit.
But if the vehicle is leased, the leasing company gets the tax credit and if you have great credit, most leasing companies pass some or all of that credit through to you to get your business. I would hate to leave that money on the table
All this “leasing deal” amounts to is GM Financial passing through some of that tax credit. I say some because if you read the fine print, GM Financial has raised the residual % so the payment will be lower, but the car will cost you more to buy at the end of the lease in order to get more low mileage trade-ins. GM has a sea of accountants to figure how best to structure the combined price, interest rate and residual to be the most profitable for them.
Remember, GMF is not the only leasing company, it is just the most convenient and most profitable for the. F and I guy.
If my Lux2 ever arrives (now 16 months and counting, with NO info about what year it will be when it might be delivered) I’ll run the numbers and see which is better, buying or leasing and if I can get a third party leasing company to pass through the tax credit. It is my net cost over three years and the cost of possibly buying the car at the end of the lease is that matters.
At this point, battery technology is changing so quickly and other manufacturers have EVs that will be entering the market in the next three years, the Lyriq may not be so attractive.
If your RMD’s are over $300K, you should wait a bit and buy an Escalade IQ!
i mean he is already waiting 16 months for this.. escalade is scheduled for 2025 so thats already another 15 months out, assuming no delays which will happen.
perpetual waitlist
If you buy it on 60 month purchase plan.. easily over 100k that is why, 0% would be 1000 taxes (70-100$),8% would add 335$, all the bs fees plus floor mats and incidental upgrades another 150/month
Leasing is not for everyone ? If you have a couple of vehicles and can monthly expense the vehicle and get the ITC (investment tax credit )
The Lease does pencil ✏️ out . My concern
Is Battery and the solid state coming ie, 750 miles on a charge and 15 minutes to re charge?
Not a Toyota Guy at all ! I’m waiting GM for GM to go solid State and safer Battery ? I travel a lot
And need the distance on the Battery ? If you Drive 50-100 miles a day the standard battery is Amazing!
$1,253 a month for a lease?! How is that possible?
I’m paying $567 a month for a $59,000 Silverado, where are they getting over double the monthly payment from for a car similarly priced to my Silverado?
Friend just bought a 22Silvy-7 yr plan..106k total of payments
So I built a sport AWD level 3 and the price is 75K not the base sport 63K. So 55K/75K is 73% or a residual of 27%. Worse numbers than the tech deal.

The limit to quality is $200,000, not $300,000 and that is easy to do with the move to IRAs rather than pensions for retirement. Plus the longer you work the harder the RMD hits I’m you. The government is going to get the money no matter what you do.
Not sure where you are getting the $200k income limit for electric vehicle credit?
https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/credits-for-new-clean-vehicles-purchased-in-2023-or-after#:~:text=In addition, your modified adjusted,$150,000 for all other filers
“In addition, your modified adjusted gross income (AGI) may not exceed:
$300,000 for married couples filing jointly
$225,000 for heads of households
$150,000 for all other filers”
Sorry. Post COVID brain fog. You are correct I’m wrong. The income limit is $300 K. 😖
There must be no demand for this super ugly vehicle. Any more price drops will result in cancellation of this vehicle which is ok by me.
