All-New 2024 Buick Envista Officially Launches In Mexico

Having announced the crossover in the Latin country simultaneously with the model’s North American debut in April, General Motors has just officially launched the all-new 2024 Buick Envista in Mexico.

The automaker recently launched the all-new 2024 Buick Envista in Mexico during a special event with the local media, who was able to preview the new compact crossover that arrives as Buick‘s most affordable model. The Envista expands the Tri-Shield brand’s crossover portfolio, complementing the newly launched 2024 Buick Encore GX with a slightly larger size and coupe-like body.

“Buick helped define the compact SUV segment in 2012, and we’ve continued to deliver a more competitive offering ever since,” said Marketing Manager for Buick at GM Mexico, Angel Pacheco. “The all-new Buick Envista offers impressive design, technology and segment-premium affordability,” he added.

Unlike the vehicle’s three trim levels available in the United States and Canada, the all-new 2024 Buick Envista has been launched in Mexico exclusively in its two most-equipped trim levels, which include the Sport Touring (ST) and the range-topping Avenir. As such, Envista units are equipped as standard with a comprehensive list of technology and safety features, characteristic of all the brand’s vehicles offered in the country.

On a mechanical level, the 2024 Buick Envista boasts a single powertrain configuration that includes the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH engine with 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. As in the other markets where it is offered, both variants of Buick’s new coupe-like crossover in Mexico feature a front-wheel drivetrain.

The all-new 2024 Buick Envista will begin arriving at Buick’s official dealer network in Mexico in mid-September, marking the first all-new vehicle to embrace Buick’s global Pure Design language and latest connectivity technology. In 2024 Envista will reach the Mexican market imported from the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea, in charge of supplying the three countries of North America. Pricing in Mexico is as follows:

  • 2024 Envista ST: 614,900 pesos (about $35,890 USD at the current exchange rate)
  • 2024 Envista Avenir: 639,400 pesos ($37,330 USD)

  1. I don’t understand the exterior styling. This doesn’t look like it belongs in a GM lineup. The interior looks quite nice and simple. Never would I buy a three cylinder anyway.

  2. Don’t they have enough of those boring soccer mom crossovers? Why can’t they give us a 2 door rear wheel drive Regal, a flashy looking Riviera, or maybe a big 225 inch long Electra? I once owned a 1984 LeSabre coupe. I got rid of that weak 307 Oldsmobile engine and replaced it with a strong running 455 Buick engine along with a TH 350 transmission. That car was a blast to drive and I still wish that I had it. The only bad thing was the gas mileage. I was getting about 9 or 10 miles to the gallon on the highway.

  3. Why are all these cars coming with a 3 cylinder engine & little horsepower? Gas mileage drops as you accelerate to merge into traffic. Seems like these vehicles are intended for single drivers city driving only. On e big reason why I wouldn’t purchase one.
