In addition to the announcement of the first all-electric Escalade in Canada and the model’s debut in the Middle East, General Motors has just confirmed the all-new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ for Mexico.
The automaker took advantage of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ’s global debut to announce the next iteration of the luxury full-size SUV in Mexico, confirming its introduction in the North American country late next year. The Escalade IQ reinterprets the nameplate’s legacy with the latest zero-emissions technology to set a new standard in the luxury SUV segment.
“Escalade IQ is first and foremost a Cadillac and delivers on a promise of innovative design supported by spirited performance and cutting-edge technologies,” said Cadillac Executive Chief Engineer for Escalade IQ, Jamie Brewer. “The EV-specific architecture allows us to deliver a driving experience aligned with Cadillac’s philosophy of isolated precision – quiet, smooth and effortless with a strong connection to the road for an engaging experience,” she added.
As such, the all-new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ seeks to completely revolutionize the large luxury SUV experience with a bold and imposing design that maintains the spirit of its predecessors, but with athletic proportions and a more aerodynamically efficient new silhouette. Inside, it is inspired by the world of architecture and fashion with exquisite materials combined with the latest technological innovations introduced by the all-new flagship Cadillac Celestiq.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is the brand’s first SUV based on GM’s Ultium architecture, featuring a high-capacity electric drive configuration comprised of a 24-module Ultium Battery pack and a eAWD system using two Ultium Drive motors developing up to 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. The massive 200 kWh battery provides a driving range of 724 kilometers or 450 miles on a full charge.
The all-new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will be officially launched and go on sale at the end of calendar year 2024 in Mexico, a few months after it arrives in U.S. dealerships during the second half of next year. Production of the new Escalade IQ will begin next summer at Detroit’s GM Factory Zero plant, which serves as the manufacturing hub for GM’s next-generation electric trucks and SUVs.
