The hoaxy gouging shows no signs of stopping.
No way I’m paying destination charges of 2,000 , I want to see something valued at 2,000 not a ride on the back of a semi ,,, there is at least 8 trucks on a semi so no way should a carrier charge 16,000 a load
Puts me out of the market , I’ll keep my current 2015 Silverado HD Duramax forever it would be cheaper to repair it then spend 80,000 plus for a new one
back in the real world, freight rates are crashing hard and are falling down to below 2019 levels. that’s cost per mile for flatbed, van/reefer, auto trans AND sea freight (container based).
let that sink in guys. hurry up and pay extra fees tho!
as somebody who has shipped a car from CA to FL, it costs 600-800 depending on how fast you want it! GM uses contracts and they pay way less than that.
I would imagine that is going to cut the delivery time from 6 months to 5months and 3 weeks, what a joke. Every move GM makes does not benefit the customer……..maybe some upper Manger needs more money for the Christmas party
Why Gm do not create its own freight car/ truck hauling company. GM gets into every business that involved in automotive. Here is a grest business opportunity. But it is a better business to pay the hauler $800 for delivery and charge your customer $2000. I am guessing with huge contract GM has with haulers $800 is about what GM pay per auto. This gives GM about $1200 profit per auto
I suppose it’s a way to leave dealerships a little extra cash since they also have to remain in business to sell GM’s vehicles. GM has no shame treating their customers as bankrolers instead of making reliable cars that will sell. Interest rates are moving up and GM’S vehicles will be sitting under the beautiful blue skies waiting a year for rates to come down. They are now shuttering plants blaming parts suppliers for shortages of axles and parts. But we know that creating a shortage increases their bottom line from red to black to green 💰
Finally something President Biden can’t take direct credit for…
