The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV is now available for customers to order in its 3X trim level, GM Authority has learned from sources familiar with the matter.
Prior to this latest development, only the Edition 1 variant of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV was being built since start of regular production (SORP).
GM debuted the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 3X trim and 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup 3X trim back in April of this year. The SUV 3X comes with four-wheel steering, CrabWalk, and the Watts to Freedom (WTF) mode equipped as standard. Pricing for the 3X trim starts at an MSRP of $100,395, which includes a destination freight charge of $1,995.
Just like the Edition 1, the Hummer EV SUV 3X is powered by three electric motors developing 830 horsepower and roughly 1,200 pound-feet of torque. Driving range on a full charge is 314 miles for the standard 3X, dropping to 298 miles for SUVs equipped with the optional Extreme Off-Road Package (RPO code Z6X). Towing capacity is 7,500 pounds with or without the package.
The range-topping GMC Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 has the same performance, range, and Extreme Off-Road Package availability as the 3X. It also equips 22-inch premium wheels, assist steps, and floor liners as standard. The Extreme Off-Road Package adds rugged cross-country goodies such as 18-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch OD MT tires, underbody armor, rock sliders, a front eLocker and virtual rear lockers, and UltraVision with underbody camera views.
Further setting it apart, the Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 is decked out in exclusive Moonshot Green Matte paint (color code G7W), which requires special care and cleaning. Pricing for the Edition 1 starts at $105,595 including a destination freight charge of $1,595. Notably, as was previously reported, production of the Hummer EV SUV Edition 1 will have a limited run of approximately 2,500 units in total.
Under the body panels, all Hummer EV variants ride on the GM BT1 platform, with motivation provided by GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies.
Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant (formerly called the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant) in Michigan, where Hummer EV SUV production began in January 2023, more than a year after Hummer EV Pickup production started in November 2021.

So, ONLY 2500 total ED1s; I’m kool with that, don’t like Matte Green anyways. I’ll be hitting this 3X in Afterburner Tintcoat with the Offroad Package. With my high reservation number, I suspect mine will be a MY25 or 26.
All I have to say is….LOL!
