2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition Package Gets Some Changes

The sixth-generation Chevy Camaro isn’t long for this world, with the 2024 Chevy Camaro slated to be the sixth-gen’s final model year. In order to give it a proper sendoff, GM will offer the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition package, which adds a selection of unique aesthetic enhancements to the exterior and interior of the sports car, as GM Authority was the first to report. Now, however, GM Authority has uncovered that GM has made a few changes to the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition package.

Easter egg hidden in the badge on the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition package.

The 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition package will now only include the Black lug nuts (RPO code SPY) when buyers choose either the 20-inch 5-split spoke Black forged aluminum wheels (RPO code Q7G, offered for 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, and LT1 trim levels), or the 20-inch 5-split spoke Black forged aluminum wheels (RPO code 56Z, offered for 1SS and 2SS trim levels). The Black lug nuts are not offered in conjunction with the 20-inch 5-split spoke polished forged aluminum wheels with Black star center cap (RPO code WR1) or the 20-inch 5-split spoke polished forged aluminum wheels with Black star center cap (RPO code 57W).

In addition, the Camaro logo wheel center caps (RPO code 5ZB) are now included in the package in conjunction with the WR1 wheels (offered for 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, or LT1 trims) or the 57W wheels (1SS and 2SS trim levels.

Finally, the Piano Black door spears and Dark Night Black aluminum door spears are no longer included in the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition package. In fact, the package no longer includes any door spears at all.

  1. How’z bout opening it to all that want to get one of them things???????????? Without some stupid mark up!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bet GM aint go no ball’s to do that…………

    1. Nothing to do with balls. There’s no way GM can legally stop a dealer from piling on extra mark ups.

      1. Not true, if GM finds out about their “ bumps” they send them a letter to immediately stop!
And, if they don’t that dealership’s NEXT allotment of vehicles to sell is cut back drastically!
It’s the old saying…..Wanna hurt someone….don’t hit them in the nose….hit them in the wallet!!!!

      2. Food For Thought:
When I returned from my first tour in Viet Nam I bought my first ever vehicle (I was 19 yrs old) a 1967 Camaro off the showroom floor!
        $3,700 otd
Had our first child eight years later and needed money……
I sure miss that car….a lot of memories!

  2. Once you get a part number, they’ll be available through the parts department. I purchased aftermarket powder coated lug nuts. Titanium lug nuts are also available through katechengines.com. Part number KAT-6882-BLK for carbon black.

  3. Im so glad I bought my 2023 ZL1 Convert with all the bells and whistles. Because, there’s literally no point to buy this car unless your a rich car collector and are going to store it in a garage. Allocation is limited, mark up for the dealerships are obnoxious, and it’s literally the same car. This car will be worth maybe something in 40 to 50 years from now, but only worth it to those who care about that stuff.

    1. Quick question…Let’s say you weren’t in the market for a ZL1 until 2024. Unfortunately, its the last year of production for the Camaro. You reserve a #1 spot for a ZL1 at your local dealership. You get a call from said dealership on 6-22 informing you that they recieved an allocation for a 2024 CE ZL1 build and gave you a commitment in writing to their policy of not selling above MSRP. Now, I’m not a rich car collector, but I’m no dummy either. What’s it worth to you now?

      1. If you were or are in the market for a CE, then you order it. If not, build and price the model you want and submit it to your dealer.

      2. To me, nothing. I already have my 23 ZL1!!!

        1. Your fortunate. I understand. It was a hypothetical question…What would you do? Dealers here will mark these cars upwards of $50-100K over MSRP.

          1. I understand. If it’s in writing and there is nothing that states dealer has right of refusal, I personally would sue them. Get what your entitled too!

  4. Black lugs are still available to order. This is just saying the black lugs don’t come with the 57W polished rims on the Z4B (Collectors Edition) package, but only if the black 56Z black rims are selected. it was just to correct the verbiage on the order guide description which previously was worded otherwise.

The door spear thing though, that is a package content reduction…

My 2SS with Z4B, TPW is 10/02. We shall see if it will be affected by worker strikes….

  5. Wish GM would accept one of my orders at this point. Send allocations for 2SS riptide blue for Christ sakes!

  6. Question not related to the black nuts… this list shows the center stripe no longer being offered on anything other than the ZL1. My 2SS order has been accepted AND the live 2024 build tool still has the center stripe listed as part of the package. I’m not here for all y’all that already have your car from previous years >,> just wondering about what we’re actually going to get this year

  8. What is a “door spear”? My dealership isn’t sure… is it that pointed stripe from the fender across the door? If so, I hadn’t heard about an item like that in the package anyway!

  9. I ordered a 2SS Collector’s Edition and was told they wouldn’t be able to deliver it due to a shortage of the Panther Black Metallic paint. Now looks like they aren’t doing other things. I don’t think they were at all ready to meet their obligations or provide what they actually said the car would be.

I think they did this just to get people excited about it and hopefully settle for something else so they can clear out inventory of other remaining parts.

    2. Your dealer is making up stories. They didn’t get an allocation for one and are making up stories.
