GM now offers a tailgate organizer accessory that fits the StowFlex Tailgate (RPO code BPC) available for the 2023 Chevy Colorado, including dividers and cargo nets to make it easier to stow small items neatly and safely inside the tailgate’s storage compartment.
The tailgate organizer can be readily set up in multiple configurations inside the StowFlex Tailgate to match the storage need of the specific 2023 Chevy Colorado owner.
The tailgate organizer consists of two dividers and two small cargo nets, plus eight D-rings with screws that provide the attachment system for the cargo nets. The organizer currently retails for $95 and is compatible with 2023 Chevy Colorado trucks equipped with the factory StowFlex Tailgate option.
The dividers can be placed at multiple positions within the StowFlex storage compartment of the 2023 Chevy Colorado by slotting them into the grooves already molded into the walls of the storage space. The cargo nets can be secured inside the compartment by screwing the D-rings to the pre-existing holes. One D-ring is inserted to support each corner of each cargo net, four D-rings per net and eight in total.
GM suggests using the tailgate organizer accessory to organize smaller items within the StowFlex storage space, including gloves, tie-down straps, work equipment, tools, and similar small items that would otherwise rattle around or become mixed together inside the compartment.
The tailgate organizer is only partially compatible with the Kicker audio system that is also available for the 2023 Chevy Colorado. The Kicker attaches inside the StowFlex storage compartment and is completely independent of the truck’s factory audio system, instead streaming music from compatible Bluetooth devices of the owner’s choice. The unit is weatherproof, features four-inch weatherproof speakers, and offers 3.5mm and USB inputs as well.
If the Kicker audio system is installed in the StowFlex compartment, it blocks off the cargo net attachment points from the tailgate organizer accessory, making the nets impossible to use. The dividers can still be utilized but only fit in the two outboard positions.
As a reminder, the StowFlex Tailgate includes a storage compartment 45 inches wide and four inches deep, equipped with a lockable lid and accessible only when the tailgate is lowered. The compartment is watertight, includes a drain hole and two cup holders, and is available on all trim levels of the truck, though it requires specific packages depending on trim.
The 2023 Chevy Colorado features the StowFlex Tailgate instead of the Bow Tie’s Multi-Flex Tailgate because space constraints in the design prevent use of the latter.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Chevy Colorado is offered with two available powerplants, including the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine developing 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine cranking out either 310 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque, or 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, depending on the tune.
Under the body panels the 2023 Colorado uses an updated variant of the GMT 31XX platform for structure. Production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

I ordered my Colorado on March 1st and it was built April 1st and as far as I know it’s still sitting on GM lot in Missouri
on August 12th , so is it chips or hall damage that is stalling it ?
The worst offering of a new vehicle that I can remember.
From what I’m hearing (And I too have one sitting on the lot) is that it’s not GM. It’s the transport companies that move them from the lot to the dealerships.
sad, the trucks are built faster than the transport companies can deliver. And yet, the destination fees have creeped up. Why we paying more money for a less than acceptable job?
My 23 Colorado Z71 has been absolutely flawless I love it and I thought I couldn’t like anything more than my 16 Colorado . There has been some issues which is unfortunate for those few owners but don’t judge the truck over a few bad apples .
I’m seeing new Trax currently on the water, in transit. They have an estimated arrival date in January.
