We Render The 2024 Chevy Tahoe Z71

General Motors is cooking up a mid-cycle enhancement (otherwise known as a refresh) for the Chevy Tahoe SUV in conjunction with the 2024 model year, with a long of updates and changes expected. Among these changes will be updated styling and a new front fascia. GM Authority has already rendered up the refreshed 2024 Chevy Tahoe before, but now, we’re trying our hand at rendering the off-road-oriented 2024 Chevy Tahoe Z71.

Z71 badge on the Chevy Tahoe.

The most obvious thing to grab you about our 2024 Chevy Tahoe Z71 rendering should be the revamped fascia. The lighting incorporates Chevy’s High Brow styling language with LED daytime running lights mounted high in the corners. These light housings incorporate the turn signals as well, while lower the fascia, we find a set of rectangular projector lights serving as the primary forward illumination. The lower headlamp projectors also incorporate C-shaped chrome bezels for a little added flourish.

Bridging the DRLs in the upper corners of the 2024 Chevy Tahoe Z71’s fascia, we have a large horizontal grille bar, on top of which the Chevy Bow Tie badge is mounted front and center. The grille itself is also a little larger than before. Moving down into the lower edge of the fascia, we have a skid plate, as is tradition for the Z71. Set on either side of the skid plate are twin red tow hooks. The lower bumper was also reworked.

Moving back along the profile of our rendering, the Z71 badge is seen mounted high on the front fender, while a black Tahoe badge is on the door. Step-ups span the length of the vehicle between the wheels.

Notably, the refreshed 2024 Chevy Tahoe is expected to offer the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, replacing the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax offered currently. With this in mind, it’s possible that the 2024 Chevy Tahoe Z71 may offer the 3.0L I6 LZ0 as optional, given the new engine and reworked fascia may get around the packaging constraints that prevent the current Tahoe Z71 from offering the LM2.

  1. I hope not. It would be a step backwards.

  2. Always fun to speculate but it’s time for Chevy to officially unveil it. Hope it lives up to the hype, I’m thinking about one.

  3. I really hope this isn’t the direction but based on the other SUVs, it is looking likely.

  5. Nice if it Z71 was more off-road model or a custom model with 2rows ,no luxury car bits .I’d like one but have no need for 3 rows of seats for 7 . More utilitarian for us car campers overlanders who have no need want or will ever have a use for a 3rd row .we want payload and cargo space for our camping kit no 3rd row ,no luxury car bits = more payload and towing nice if it had a 3.73 axel over the 3.23

  9. They ruined the Blazer. Hopefully, they don’t ruin the Tahoe.

  10. That is one crazy front end design. Way to many transitions. Almost get dizzy looking at it.
Are they trying to get more air flow to the engine?
Seems like the headlights are low or the designs makes them look low.
I would like to buy a 2024 but will have to see one in person first. I have a 2019 but would like to have some of the new changes and some newer upgrades.

  11. I want a new one too but not if that rendering is accurate. Still waiting for a 2023 RST allocation (4 months now) and starting to think I should just keep my 2018. Getting sick and tired of waiting and playing this allocation game with GM
