After revealing the first teaser for the refreshed crossover in South Korea, General Motors has just officially launched the new 2024 Chevy Trailblazer in the Asian country.
GM Korea launched the all-new 2024 Chevy Trailblazer on July 19th during a special launch event at the company’s recently opened The House of GM in Seoul. The automaker is confident that the 2024 Trailblazer will improve its business performance thanks to the comprehensive mid-cycle update, with a more sophisticated exterior design and a reworked interior.
“The new Trailblazer has all the elements that represent Chevrolet’s authentic American SUV, including outstanding engineering capabilities created by expertise acquired in the U.S. and Canadian markets,” said the outgoing President and CEO of GM Korea, Roberto Rempel. “I truly feel confident recommending the new Trailblazer to anyone, including my family and friends, not because I work for GM, but because I know it’s an outstanding vehicle. I deeply believe it is the best compact SUV in the market,” he added.
Notably, the refreshed 2024 Chevy Trailblazer comes to the South Korean market with four distinctive trim levels that cater to the different lifestyles of potential customers, including LT, Premier, Activ and RS. They stand out for offering class-leading technology and safety equipment as standard, such as the 11-inch infotainment system touchscreen with maximum connectivity, as well as an extensive suite of driving assist systems.
Unlike in the United States and Canada, the new 2024 Chevy Trailblazer is available in South Korea exclusively with the more muscular powertrain, as all trims include the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T engine that develops 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. The crossover comes standard with a front-wheel drivetrain and a continuously variable automatic transmission, while the AWD Activ and RS variants include GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Trailblazer is now available for sale at Chevrolet’s entire official dealer network in South Korea, the country of origin and sole manufacturing center at the moment for the subcompact crossover. Interested customers can choose one of eight exterior colors on the 2024 Trailblazer, along with a two-tone finish exclusive to the top-of-the-line Activ and RS trims. Here are the starting prices of the four trim levels in Korea:
- 2024 Trailblazer LT: 26,990,000 won (about $21,310 USD at the current exchange rate)
- 2024 Trailblazer Premier: 27,990,000 won ($22,100 USD)
- 2024 Trailblazer Activ: 30,990,000 won ($24,470 USD)
- 2024 Trailblazer RS: 30,990,000 won ($24,470 USD)

I love these dang things. They look great – and don’t knock ’em untill you drive ’em.
The vehicle is being criticized by the Korean media for being very expensive. GM Korea raised the korean price by $2,400 through Facelift.
