The 2024 Buick Envision will arrive as the fourth model year for the second-gen crossover, introducing a mid-cycle enhancement complete with several important updates and changes. The refreshed 2024 Buick Envision was originally set to start rolling off the line this coming October. Now, however, GM Authority has learned that production of the 2024 Buick Envision has been delayed.
According to GM Authority sources, the start of regular production (SORP) for the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision will now begin on December 11th, 2023. Production of the 2023 Buick Envision will end on November 30th, 2023. Per previous GM Authority coverage, the 2024 Buick Envision was originally scheduled to hit production on October 30th, 2023. The 2024 Buick Envision will be produced at the GM-SAIC Jinqiao Plant in Shanghai, China.
Among the updates set to debut with the 2024 Buick Envision is a new exterior design, with the 2024 model-year refresh taking styling inspiration from the Buick Wildcat EV concept, which is setting the design language for both Buick’s internal combustion products and its all-electric products. The styling changes will be seen in the front and rear fascias, with the front end incorporating a new grille and dual-tier headlights, and the rear incorporating a new bumper and revised taillights. Also look for new exterior paint options. The body style will continue to be a five-door crossover utility vehicle.
Inside the cabin, the 2024 Buick Envision will present an updated gauge cluster, a larger center display, new infotainment features, and possibly a reworked center stack as well. The layout will include seating for five passengers. GM Super Cruise will be offered.
Under the hood, the 2024 Buick Envision will offer a single powertrain option, namely the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Output will be routed through the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, with both FWD and AWD available to put it to the pavement. The GM E2 platform will provide the underpinnings.

Ah yes, the proverbial slow boat from China!
What about the Enclave for 2024 will it be more available then the 2023 models
Im at a Buick GMC dealer in Myrtle Beach SC. We actually just got our first 2024 Enclave in today with a couple more close by in transit. It definitely looks like the 24’s are going to be more available throughout the year unlike how the 23’s were scarce starting out the year then full inventory later in the year. Doesnt look like much if anything changed with the 24’s but the price does seem to be cheaper actually, Essence with HD surround and Rear View Mirrow camera at $48k MSRP instead of the 23 being around $52k
Therei is a 25% tariff that then President Trump placed on this China made vehicle. Yet they still price it relatively low. Wonder what the profit margin is on this thing?
Constant misfires by GM lately. All too soon to announce production goals and startup only to miss them hurts more than just keeping silent. GM pretends they are ahead of everyone else by making statements that ultimately cannot be made.
I own 2 Buicks including a 2017 Envision. This front end redesign that removes the distinctive grille makes the Envision indistinguishable from the glut of other SUVs on the road.
Made at the Communist Motors Plant in China. No thank you.
That’s disappointing.
Wow that new front end is a huge step backwards.
not impressed at all with the new design. present grille is more stylish and classy.
How similar or different will the new Envision be from the new XT4 already in production in Fairfax, KS? If the Envision starts production in China in December, the new models probably won’t arrive in the US until the 2nd quarter of 2024. Who wants a to wait another 9 months?
Why is this Vehicle being built in CHINA! bring it to the USA!! and Get it done. this is Terrible.
Because they don’t want to pay their employees a fair wage while they (CEOs) collect their millions from bonuses.
Bring it back to the United 🇺🇲
Stereotypical Gen Motors. You want a car with high resale value and that is rated highly, even after the average ownership in the US being being less than competitors.
You WANT a car with 60,000 miles standard warranty, 100k powertrain. If you finance for 5 years / 60 months, you WANT a warranty the entire time you FINANCE it. American companies BIGGEST ONGOING RIPOFF is the crappy 36 month warranty. Its sole purpose it to force most people to trade it in and buy a new car every 3 years, instead of QUALITY.
SMART people buy a Hyundai or Kia with 60,000 miles. They have better resale. Though VW has 50k, it has hands down, nearly perfect interior fit and finish quality.
So…that leads us here.
Pretend you own GM or Ford etc. You WANT to walk into that board meeting and say “today we increase our basic warranty to compete with the brands kicking our asses, and stop screwing the American public. AT THE VERY LEAST, you add a year for 48 months.
The next thing you do is focus on LIGHTWEIGHT offroad capable vehicles that average 30 mpg highway to compete with industry best rated Subaru.
In essence, you fire all the old white guys sponging off the company and pull your head out of your butt and become competitive. You also stop putting cheap gray plastic in EVERY INTERIOR. You set fire to the old, tired, worn out, cheap, plastic, ugly yellow chevy logo and come into the new century by designing a new logo.
That’s what GM should do.
