Last Chance To Order A 2023 GMC Acadia In Ultra Blue Metallic

The 2023 GMC Acadia is the seventh model year for the second-generation crossover, debuting a handful of small changes compared to the preceding 2022 model year. Notably, customers interested in owning a 2023 GMC Acadia in Ultra Blue Metallic paint will need to act quickly, as the last chance to order the color is nearly here. It’s unclear if Ultra Blue Metallic will be available for the 2024 model year.

According to GM Authority sources, this week is the final opportunity to order the 2023 GMC Acadia in Ultra Blue Metallic paint (paint code GTR). The color will be built out after the week of September 11th, 2023.

Ultra Blue Metallic is available on every trim level of the 2023 GMC Acadia, and includes a $495 up-charge. Ultra Blue Metallic paint is available in combination with the Jet Black and Dark Galvanized / Light Shale interior colorways, but is not available with the Cocoa / Light Ash Gray interior colorway. Ultra Blue Metallic was first offered for the GMC Acadia in conjunction with the 2023 model year.

It’s currently unclear if Ultra Blue Metallic paint will be offered for the 2024 GMC Acadia. As GM Authority covered previously, the 2024 GMC Acadia will introduce an all-new third generation for the crossover.

As a reminder, the 2023 GMC Acadia is offered with two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, rated at 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 271 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. Both powerplants connect to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission. Under the body panels, the GMC Acadia rides on the GM C1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

Looking ahead, the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia will be larger than the current second-gen model, retuning the nameplate to its full-size roots. In addition to a new exterior, the interior will be overhauled, new tech features will be offered, and a new powerplant will provide the motivation.

  2. Recently I leased an Acadia exactly like the one shown. It’s a nice change from all the black, white and gray vehicles that dominate the road.
