Here Are All The 2023 GMC Hummer EV Pickup Paint Colors

Back in July 2022, GM Authority reported on the names of the seven paint colors the 2023 GMC Hummer EV Pickup would be available in. Now, we’ve gathered photos of all seven hues the 2023 Hummer EV Pickup is offered in.

Notably, each paint color features a space-inspired name, as follows (relevant color code in parenthesis):

  • Afterburner Tintcoat (GC5)
  • Deep Aurora Metallic (GXN)
  • Interstellar White (GAZ)
  • Meteorite Metallic (GNO)
  • Supernova Metallic (GKK)
  • Tide Metallic (G7X)
  • Void Black (GBA)

It’s worth noting that Interstellar White was the only shade offered for the Edition 1 variant, and is also the only no-charge paint option on the Hummer EV 3X.

As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup is introducing a few updates over the current model year, including two entry-level trims. Dubbed the 2 and 2X, these trims are positioned below the range-topping 3X, and feature a two-motor powertrain as opposed to the three-motor setup found in the 3X. Output for the former is estimated in the ballpark of 625 horsepower, while the latter is rated at 830 horsepower, or 1,000 horsepower with the optional 24-module battery pack on board.

Another notable update is the introduction of the Omega Edition, a limited-run variant that includes a unique matte paint finish, unique wheels, along with a few other tidbits.

Under the skin, the Hummer EV Pickup and Hummer EV SUV both ride on the wide-body variant of the GM BT1 platform – the narrow-body version underpins the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV – while motivation is derived from GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors. Production takes place exclusively at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

  1. Has GM actually made any non-white pickups yet? I’ve seen dozens of the pickups around metro Detroit and 100% of them are white exterior.

    1. Sadly, that appears to be the ‘in’ color right now. I have no idea why. Reminds me of the old ‘generic’ products that supermarkets used to sell. Talk about a lack of imagination.

    2. The first edition trucks were only available in white. They made 1200 first editions for consumers and 1200 first editions for dealer demos, they haven’t started producing any other editions of the truck yet (except for demo/test vehicles, so any other colors have been extremely rare – unless the edition 1 truck was wrapped). The 3x editions should start to be produced soon. The SUVs will only initially be available in the matte green in the edition 1 vehicles.

      1. But your white numbers only add up to 2,400 and the prior GM Authority post said GM has made 13,649 HUMMER EVs to date. Gotta be a lot of non-whites in there, right? But where are they? Are they just not selling them yet?

        1. The batteries are being built by hand, one cell at a time since automation doesn’t work.

That’s explains why only 46 Units were built in the last quarter. What a shame.

          1. GM MAKING BATTERIES BY HAND
Well, now we know why General Motors has only been dribbling out production of its Ultium-based EVs. It’s making the batteries by hand. GM CEO Mary Barra says it ran into unexpected delivery problems with the supplier company that makes the equipment that makes the batteries. So GM sent its own manufacturing people over to the supplier to help it out. But Barra says “We’ve also added manual assembly lines” at the Ultium plant in Lordstown, Ohio. Rumors have been circulating throughout the industry as to why GM’s EV production was so slow–everything from water leak problems with the batteries, to problems with software. But it looks like the real problem is that they have to make them by hand right now. Barra says things are improving and that GM’s EV production in the US will hit 100,000 vehicles in the second half of this year, and that it’s still on track to hit 400,000 cumulative EVs by the middle of next year.

  2. Who cares when only about 200 hummers have been built in the last year with only 46 in the last quarter?

  3. No red? Are they saving that for 2025?

  4. What kinda numbers we talking about here? Are they gonna make as many as 5 or 6 in each color?

  5. I’m glad that they finally offer some different exterior colors on the Hummer EV. Personally, I like the orange, white, and grey. I think that there should be an electric blue.

  6. Hummers are electric, at first you stand back and look, then pause and continue. So in reality the experience in one of these autos will be astonishing beyond you wildest dreams. From the source behind the curtain, not oz, but the Curtain, these hummers will do the quarter mile in 11 flat.
