GM To Fix 2023 Chevy Bolt EV, Bolt EUV Mislabeled Battery Packs

GM has issued two service updates for the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV and 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV, both related to minor issues with the electric vehicles’ battery packs.
The service issues affecting the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV and EUV include a mislabeled high voltage battery (service update N232404821) and a mislabeled high voltage battery requiring an update to the vehicle calibration to match the battery chemistry (service update N232404820).
For service update N232404821, certain units of 2023 Chevy Bolt EV and Chevy Bolt EUV were produced and shipped with an incorrect label on their high-voltage battery.
Some 2023 Chevy Bolt battery packs use N2.1 chemistry, and some use the N2.2 chemistry. In the case of the vehicles affected by the incorrect label, certain units equipped with N2.1 chemistry batteries had their batteries labeled as using N2.2 chemistry instead.
The fix for the mislabeled N2.1 battery pack consists of dealership service personnel to use a black paint marker or pen such as a Sharpie to black out the N2.2 chemistry note on the battery BIN data label. No parts or other label are required.
For service update N232404820, certain units of the affected Chevy Bolt EV and EUV model years may have received service in which an N2.2 chemistry high-voltage battery was installed in place of the OEM N2.1 battery pack equipped at production.
In this case, GM instructs the dealership service personnel to update the vehicle calibration to match the current N2.2 chemistry. This includes reprogramming the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2 with SPS. No additional parts are required to complete the fix.
The field action recommended in the bulletin is available from July 2023 through the individual Chevy Bolt unit’s EV Component Limited Warranty period. Affected Bolt EVs bear the notation “Open” on their Investigate Vehicle History screen in the GM Global Warranty Management system for the appropriate service bulletin number.
Owners of affected Chevy Bolt vehicles can contact Chevrolet customer service at the telephone below, referencing the service bulletin number, if they have questions about the repair.

Anyone know what the difference is between the N2.1 and N2.2 Chemistry is? Does it effect range, performance, or flammability?
I have a 2023 Bolt EUV and just had service N232404821 performed last week.
I was told there was some type of recall on the battery/sticker and they ended up using a black sharpie to cross out “N2.2 Module” on the sticker.
My question is, why would they cross out the N2.2 module section on the battery? I thought N2.2 was the newer/better version compared to N2.1
Any ideas or feedback?
There are no n2.1s being produced anymore.. and anything beyond model year 2019 would not have an n2.1. Many of the cars which had n2.1 were replaced with an n2.2 from the recall. The difference is n2.2s have 10% more energy/range. Not sure where the author got his information but it is pretty far off
Are you sure? I just went to the dealership last week and they performed this “recall” on my 2023 EUV.
The N2.2 Module is crossed out in black sharpie.
Why would my dealership cross this out if it wasn’t legit?
