The Chevy Silverado ZR2 first hit the scene for the 2022 model year, offering up enhanced off-road capability and more aggressive styling. Naturally, some Chevy Silverado ZR2 customers will want to add even more aggression to the mix, and one of the best ways to do it is with a new aftermarket exhaust. Now, the exhaust specialists at MBRP are offering exactly that, as demonstrated in the following brief video.
Clocking in at under a minute, the video includes a sound test for the new Chevy Silverado ZR2 exhaust system from outside the vehicle. The video starts from behind the off-roader, where we hear the pickup start. After idling for a second, the driver gives us a few revs, with the new pipes providing a nice, throaty exhaust note. Next, the truck takes off, and we listen as the engine rises in rpm as the Chevy Silverado ZR2 heads down the road.
Next up, the video moves to the side of the road, and we see the Chevy Silverado ZR2 come around a corner and head towards the camera. The truck makes a pass, giving us a taste of what the exhaust sounds like while cruising.

According to MBRP, the new Chevy Silverado ZR2 cat-back exhaust includes 3-inch and 2.5-inch piping, providing a 33-percent increase in flow. It also includes dual rear-exit design, while the “Street Profile” sound rides the line between aggressive sound on the throttle, without being overly obnoxious on an extended drive. The whole thing is made from T304 stainless steel and includes a lifetime warranty, with protection from extreme climates such as snow, salt, and off-road use. The bolt-on design should also make installation a snap.
To note, this exhaust only fits the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine. Pricing is set at $926.99, per the MBRP website.
