Checking for traffic in both directions before turning at a T-junction is one of those basic habits that every driver should have developed prior to climbing behind the wheel. Unfortunately, simply checking for traffic won’t prevent accidents from occurring. And that’s exactly what happens in the following video, which shows a Chevy Malibu sedan slamming into a Ford Ranger pickup.
The video was recently posted to social media, and appears as though it was captured by the dash cam of a nearby motorist. The video opens on an overcast day, with dark, gray clouds above. The pavement is wet, and it looks like it recently rained. The car with the dash car has its lights on.
As the video gets underway, we see a Ford Ranger at at T-junction, signaling to turn left. The truck starts to pull out onto the road, relatively slowly at first.
Suddenly, a black Chevy Malibu sedan come charging in from the left-hand side of the screen. The four-door smashes into the side of the truck, the front end lifting the truck up off the pavement in the process. The Ford Ranger flies into the air, while the front end of the Chevy Malibu is totally caved in. The pickup ends up several feet down the road, while the Chevy Malibu rolls forward. Items in the bed of the Ford Ranger are spread across the road.
As the Chevy Malibu rolls forward, we see just how badly the Ford Ranger was hit. The driver’s side door is completely caved in, and it looks like the frame is twisted into a V shape.
It’s unknown exactly what happened here. Perhaps the Ford Ranger driver wasn’t paying attention, or maybe the approaching Chevy Malibu was hidden behind something off screen, such as some parked cars. Either way, it looks like the collision likely resulted in injuries, given the severity of the impact. Hopefully both parties involved were not seriously injured.

Worst kind of MVA, hopefully both are ok. With that amount of intrusion in the Ford cab it really doesn’t look good.
Love how the story made it sound like the Boo was charging in for the kill. Please the Ranger picked the fight by slow rolling a left turn
The Ford didn’t yield the right of way, hope that driver is ok, that was a hard hit to the drivers door. His only recourse may be to download the Malibu’s onboard computer to see if it was speeding. If excessive, I would argue that the Malibu contributed to the accident by speeding in inclimate conditions. Remember, the onboard computer will not lie for you.
Really a bad wreck, hopefully no one was seriously injured! Again I don’t see the video! If I need View this post on Instagram, I won’t be seeing any videos!
I don’t do instagram either or any other social media.
Perfectly timed to the song in the cammer’s car. Noice!
