The GM Authority Take

The increase in Chevrolet Korea sales in June continues the brand’s positive behavior in the Asian country, representing three consecutive months of sales gains. The results are proof that Chevrolet is continuing its volume recovery in the South Korean market, despite offering a reduced model range due to discontinuation of the Chevy Spark and Malibu.

The all-new 2024 Chevy Trax has set its third sales record in South Korea during June, registering a total of 3,842 deliveries. That volume represents the nameplate’s best-ever figure to date in the country, surpassing the 3,396 deliveries posted in May and cementing the Trax as Chevy’s best-selling model. Not going unnoticed is the Chevy Bolt EUV, which achieved an increase for both June as well as for the first half of the year.

By contrast, the Chevy Trailblazer suffered a drastic drop in sales volume in June. The subcompact crossover sold less than half of the volume it did in June 2022, and its volume remains below four digits. Similarly, almost the entire line of Chevy’s imported models also saw significant decreases in June.
