Batman Drives A C8 Corvette: Video

The C8 Corvette is an aggressive sports car, the sort of thing that would be well-suited for on-track heroics. But what about literal crimefighting? Now, we’re seeing exactly that with the following viral video.

Recently making the rounds on social media, the video is just a few seconds long, showing the scene at a gas station where an all-black C8 Corvette is shown tanking up alongside the Dark Knight himself.

Of course, when we say “all-black,” we truly mean all-black. This thing is murdered out from every conceivable angle, with a heavy window tint, black paint, tinted taillight clusters, black trim, and black wheels. This C8 Corvette Stingray is also equipped with a few aftermarket upgrades, including a set of vortex generators on the roof, seen with in a series of raised fins, as well as a ducktail-style rear spoiler. Both components are finished in matching black (or possibly Carbon Flash). No word on whether or not the sports car was upgraded with machine guns, rocket boosters, radar systems, or some other bat-themed tech.

As the camera spins around the C8 Corvette, we see Batman filling up the gas tank on the all-black Chevy Batmobile. As the camera approaches the side of the vehicle, we see Batman give a quick nod and thumbs-up to a nearby civilian, perhaps assuring them that all is well and that the local area is free of any criminals.

As for performance, the C8 Corvette is equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine, which is rated at 490 and 465 pound-feet of torque from the factory. Add in the optional performance exhaust, and those figures rise to 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. However, we wouldn’t be too surprised it Batman added a little extra juice with some special modifications, perhaps with a supercharger or nitrous system.
