One month after the introduction of the Chevrolet compact pickup in the country, General Motors has just announced that the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana is now on sale in Argentina.
The automaker’s subsidiary in Argentina held the official launch event of the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana on July 5th in the town of Tortuguitas, province of Buenos Aires, initiating the formal process of marketing the model in the South American country. After an initial pre-sale period for one of the pickup’s trim levels with the Chevrolet Savings Plan, the 2024 Montana range is now available for sale at Argentine dealers.

“The new Montana arrives in Argentina to innovate the compact pickup segment with an urban and smart offering, based on the experience of our brand producing trucks for more than 100 years,” said Commercial Director of GM Argentina, Raúl Mier. “This model offers the comfort and maneuverability of an SUV and the robustness of a pickup. We are proud to offer our customers innovative products that stand out for their versatility, equipment, comfort and technology,” he added.
2024 Chevy Montana LTZ
In addition to the LTZ model initially offered for pre-sale, the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana is also coming to Argentina in the range-topping Premier trim level. Both come standard with a long list of technology and safety equipment, distinguished by a bright exterior finish for the LTZ and a darkened appearance for the Premier, as well as differences in interior presentation.
As in the rest of the markets where the new compact pickup is marketed, the two 2024 Chevy Montana variants available in Argentina are powered by the 1.2L turbocharged engine that develops 132 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque, coupled exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission in both cases. The Montana is exclusively offered with a front-wheel drivetrain.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Montana is already available throughout the entire network of official Chevrolet dealers in Argentina, where it arrives with units imported from the GM Ṣo Caetano do Sul plant in Brazil Рthe only GM facility worldwide that manufactures the new-generation Montana. The model stands out for introducing the Smart Utility Pickup (SUP) concept in South America and offering the most practical and equipped cargo box in its segment.
Here are the prices of the 2024 Chevy Montana in Argentina, affected by high local taxes:
- 2024 Montana LTZ: 11,590,900 pesos (about $44,660 USD at the current exchange rate)
- 2024 Montana Premier: 12,499,900 pesos ($48,160 USD)
