The Cadillac CT5 nameplate first launched for the 2020 model year, and while the sedan was originally expected to receive a mid-cycle enhancement (otherwise known as a refresh) for the 2024 model year, new information later came to light indicating the refresh will in fact arrive for the 2025 model year, or perhaps even the 2024.5 model year. The forthcoming refresh will apply the entirety of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 lineup, albeit with certain updates relegated to specific trim levels. Now, GM Authority is compiling everything we know and expect from the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 right here.
Exterior
Kicking things off with the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 will be updated exterior styling, including new headlights, a revised grille, and a new lower fascia. The new lighting setup will feature thin signatures with a single, uninterrupted lighting line drawn from the top of the headlights down into the front bumper. The new lighting style will be somewhat similar to that of the pre-refresh Cadillac CT6.
Interior
Moving inside, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 will also feature an overhauled interior, with GM Authority spy photos revealing a new widescreen display that incorporates both a digital driver instrument cluster and the vehicle infotainment system touchscreen. The infotainment layout will be somewhat similar to that of the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4.
Powertrain
The upcoming North-American Cadillac CT5 refresh is expected to include a round of powertrain updates, but only for non-V-variants, specifically Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels. The specifics of these updates are still under wraps, but for reference, the current non-V engine lineup includes the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine and the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine.
Platform
The refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 will continue to ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform.
Availability
As was the case prior to the refresh, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 will be available in the U.S., Canada, the Middle East and China.
Production
Production will once again take place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. However, the Chinese-market CT5 is built at the Cadillac Jinqiao plant in the town of Jinquiao, Pudong, Shanghai.

Comments
Looks promising. Not real fond of the huge fake air vents in the front on the current version or the ipad style info center.
The TT 3.0 V6 needs to come up to 450hp on the V to bridge the gap to the Blackwing.
And torque
I hope they ditch the Honda Accord C-Pillars on the current model.
Hard to tell with their urban camo wrap.
Refresh should increase sales, hopefully.
Can’t wait for this. So excited
To be fair, this is most likely my next vehicle, but I feel like absolutely none of my concerns are being addressed with the update. I get that it’s a refresh, and not an outright new model, but I don’t expect to see a spare tire and jack, anemic trunk space can’t possibly be addressed for obvious reasons, and I’m not hopeful the c-pillar will be improved by deleting that glossy black triangle thing. I was hoping they would use the new column mounted e-shift stalk that is proliferating the lineup, but that looks like a regular wiper stalk in the spy shot. Holding out hope they’ll at least offer the “juniper” colored interior. If they could use the sunroof/shade system pretty much every other GM car uses instead of having the big thick “beam” across the center, that would be great too.
Since when did the CT5 get the 2.7T?
Thanks for calling that out, Robert. The post has been updated.
Looks good, but very disappointed in the lack of power for the v series. My 300c from 15 years ago makes as much power as this.
