The 2024 GMC Yukon will introduce a mid-cycle enhancement, also known as a refresh, ushering in a wealth of updates and changes for the full-size SUV. GM Authority has spotted prototype units of the refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon on numerous occasions, providing us with an early sneak peek at what’s in store. Now, however, we’re getting a look at a prototype of the range-topping 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate.
We can identify this prototype as an example of the 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate thanks to what’s rolling in the corners, specifically a set of 22-inch 7-spoke Ultra-Bright Machined wheels with Bright Chrome Accents and Dark Paint (RPO code SMR). Critically, this prototype is showing several other interesting exterior features as well, despite the camo covers.
Up front, for example, we see hints of the 2024 GMC Yukon’s revised fascia, which includes revised headlights. Although it’s not totally obvious from these photos, it looks as though the refreshed front end will incorporate C-shaped lighting elements. It also appears as though the middle lighting elements are slightly lower than those on the current model.
Further lighting changes will be applied in the rear, with the headlight housings no longer extending into the liftgate like the tail lights equipped by the current model. However, the rear end on this prototype also shows off something else interesting, namely integrated through-fascia exhaust outlets. It’s likely that the refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon Denali and Denali Ultimate will feature through-fascia exhaust outlets as a way to differentiate the range-toppers from the rest of the trim level lineup. It’s also worth noting that the 2024 GMC Yukon will offer a new active exhaust, per a GM Authority exclusive.
Further updates will include a new roof antenna, as GM Authority covered previously, while the cabin space will be reworked with a large central infotainment screen that stretches out from the instrument cluster into the center stack in a single, continuous shape. New 24-inch wheel options will be offered as well.
As for the greasy bits, the gasoline engine options will carry over in the refresh, while the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine will replace the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine offered currently.
We’ll have plenty more to say about the refreshed 2024 GMC Yukon before it officially drops cover, so stay tuned. In the meantime, subscribe to GM Authority for more GMC Yukon news, GMC news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.
I saw a junky lawn cutting operation yesterday in our upscale neighborhood with rusty equipment being towed by a brand new Denali pickup. Boy, GM has it good. And I bet their lawn prices are outrageous to cover the ridiculous monthly payments.
What was junky then? The mowers? I mean they get beat up and dirty from all the cutting.
Or the workers? (that’s not nice)
Obviously, the tow rig was not junky…
They’re getting funded by you and your “upscale neighborhood” I suppose.
You sound like a Beachy Cool Arrow. That was my junky lawn mower equipment and it’s an Ultimate Denali with Super Cruise.
Now they need to work on the 3/4 tin version for consumer availability. The base version does not have enough payload for any serious RV towing (RGAWR or GVWR). The base n umbers are not competitive in the field. The trim in fabulous – but useless for anything except a 100k grocery getter.
