Two new 22-inch wheels are available to order on certain trims of the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD truck, including gloss Black and high-gloss black wheel choices.
Both of the new wheels for the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD are LPO or dealer-installed rather than being shipped from the factory with the wheels already fitted to the pickup.
- 22-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels (RPO code SBL)
- 22-inch High Gloss Black aluminum wheels with machined accents (RPO code SAK)
The 22-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheel set (SBL) is optionally available exclusively on the High Country trim level at a cost of $3,095. It isn’t offered at all on the WT, Custom, LTZ, ZR2 or LTZ trims.
The 22-inch High Gloss Black aluminum wheels with machined accents (SAK) are optional on the LT, LTZ and High Country trim levels for an additional $3,290. The wheel set is not offered on the WT, Custom or ZR2 trims of the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD.
In both cases, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ordered with these wheels comes from the factory with transit wheels installed and alignment specs set to 22 inches. When the dealership receives the truck on the transit wheels, its service personnel installs the new wheel set and ships the transit wheels back to the factory.
Neither of the two wheel options can be combined with the Max Trailering Package (RPO code NHT).
The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD debuted the fourth generation’s mid-cycle refresh, introducing revised body panels highlighted by a new front fascia, headlights, and grille. The available palette of exterior colors gets six new options – Sterling Gray, Dark Ash, Radiant Red, Auburn Metallic, Lakeshore Blue Metallic, and Meteorite Metallic – while the interior was also overhauled.
Under the hood, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD sports the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine developing 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque as standard. The 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine is optionally available, now with output boosted for the 2024 model-year refresh to 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque.
The GM six-speed automatic transmission previously routing power from the engine to the wheels on gasoline models has been dropped. Instead, both gasoline and diesel 2024 Silverado HD trucks now use the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic for cog swaps.
Structure is provided to the refreshed Silverado HD by a more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform. Production of the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD is under way at the GM Flint plant in Michigan and the GM Oshawa plant in Canada, with 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 and ZR2 Bison scheduled to kick off this summer.
