After General Motors revealed the first teaser for the sporty variant of Chevrolet’s compact pickup, the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana RS has just debuted in Brazil.
The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary officially presented the first images and configuration details of the 2024 Chevy Montana RS, an all-new variant characterized by exclusive design elements that give it a sporty style and provide an even more striking interior appearance. As such, the 2024 Montana RS expands the trim level offering of Chevrolet‘s first compact unibody pickup made exclusively in Brazil.
“An interesting detail is that the most-equipped configurations of the new Montana account for more than two-thirds of sales. We also realized that there is a profile of customers looking for a multipurpose vehicle with exclusive design elements and a bolder look,” said Product Marketing Director of GM South America, Paula Saiani. “Hence the idea of creating the RS version for the pickup with range-topping positioning, something disruptive at Chevrolet,” she added.
Notably, the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana RS arrives as the model’s new range-topping variant of the model in Brazil, positioning itself above the Premier trim level – an unprecedented move in the brand’s marketing strategy in the country. The model stands out for its exclusive aesthetic details such as the blacked-out honeycomb grille, black Bow Tie, new 17-inch two-tone wheels and new interior finish with red contrast stitching.
As we had anticipated, the 2024 Chevy Montana RS includes no mechanical changes, sticking with the turbocharged 1.2L I3 engine from the rest of the lineup that develops 133 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. The block is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission exclusively feeding power to the front wheels.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Montana RS will be officially launched and arrive at the brand’s dealerships in Brazil during the month of August, with all the technology and safety equipment available on the model, in addition to full LED lighting. The new Montana RS will make its first public appearance during the upcoming Interlagos Festival, from July 20th to 23rd in the city of São Paulo.

This needs to come to North America and will see the same demand as the fwd only 2024 Trax!!
Could we see this car in Australia
NO, never, this car is for Brasil, made by Brazilians and South Korea to Brasil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, upto Mexico. A car made by 3rd world, as you from USA & Australia says to 3rd World. It is not for 1st World ! In Australia count on ex Holden kkkkkkk, or chinese electric cars… keep u w your sttupid C8
Requires these adjustments:
1. Bigger and wider wheels in the same wheelbox and enough gaps according, gaps with those small wheels too big
2. Light contours modification accordingly, instead the Z, a better connection upper right
3. Blinker on the external mirror
4. Coachline…
5. Modification door rear profile C Pillar as well as roofliner fix and tailgate better connected with plastic of Bumper
GM really investing in truck that will never come here . Sad kinda.
The Maverick needs competition in North America, the 2.0 Lt.turbo used in most of Chevy’s fwd fleet can be used.
It would be nice to have a similar option here in the states.
If brought here as is most of you would complain that the bed is too small as is the engine.
If they fix everything then you would complain it cost too much.
This is not the old S10 that most of you want that they sold for $9,999.
Unfortunately, it looks more like a crossover or the minivan that it is named after than a truck. I would love to see Chevy enter a competitor to the Maverick, but have more truck styling.
