In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new Barbie movie coming out, and it’ll feature more than a few prominent GM vehicles. That includes the Chevy Corvette and GMC Hummer EV, as GM Authority covered previously. Now, it’s looking like the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV SS will make an appearance as well.
In a brief new teaser video from Chevrolet, we get a few glimpses of the exterior and interior of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV SS. We see the all-electric crossover pull up, with the passengers telling Barbie (Margot Robbie) to get in. After diving into the rear seat, the Blazer EV takes off, slicing through traffic before it’s flanked by a pair Chevy SUVs. It looks as though the crossover is involved in some sort of chase scene on the highway, and we see the driver activate WOW (Wide Open Watts) Mode, enabling a 0-to-60 mph acceleration time under four seconds.
For those readers who may not know, the Blazer EV SS is the range-topping trim level in the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV lineup, doling out a maximum of 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque thanks to its GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors. The GM BEV3 platform provides the underpinnings.
Look for Barbie in theaters July 21st, 2023, and check out the teaser below:
The movie will also feature a 1956 Chevy Corvette C1, finished in pink for the full Barbie vibes. The Corvette will likely be powered an electric powertrain, as indicated by the blue “EV” in the Chevrolet script on the side, as well as a charging port, as seen previously. What’s more, the Barbie Corvette will be playable in the Forza Horizon 5 video game, where it will be joined by Ken’s GMC Hummer EV Pickup, the latter of which features a silver paint job and in-game pastel violet lightning decals.

GM EVs have appeared in many movies.
To absolute ZERO surprise or delight from the general public.
Really, I haven’t noticed.
The movie seemed more like the obvious oppression of womens rights. Don’t understand the commie part? But we do have commerce from every type of government known to man almost. The BLUE Chevy blazer looked pretty sweet and being EV makes all the nicer, though im sure the price tag will keep a lot of consumers away. Now! If imcould just win a lottery ticket enough for the Chevy EV Blazer?
That’s the new commie movie that’s already been banned in several countries in the far east.

Looking forward to the Barbie movie and checking out the new chevy-blazer. My older adult children and my youngest who is special needs plan on wearing pink when we go see it. And I have all boys. Lol. They are gonna do it for my birthday. The commercial brought back young memories. Good job on making us old folks feel young again. And making my special needs son smile. I played it back so I can hear him laugh again.
