2024 Cadillac XT5 Configurator Live

The 2024 Cadillac XT5 makes splashdown in the U.S. as the eighth model year for the crossover’s first generation, introducing only a couple updates and changes compared to the preceding 2023 model year. Now, interested fans and potential customers can spec the 2024 Cadillac XT5 using the official online configurator tool at Cadillac’s website.

As before, three trim levels are offered, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels are equipped as standard with front-wheel drive, while all three trims are available with all-wheel drive.

As for the greasy bits under the hood, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 offers two engine options, starting with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Additional output can be had via the optional naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, which is rated at 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 271 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. Engine availability depends on the trim level selected, with both powerplants mating to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.

Compared to the preceding 2023 model year, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 offers an updated exterior paint options list. As GM Authority was the first to report, Latte Metallic (paint code G5D), Rosewood Metallic (paint code GCK), and Wilder Metallic (paint code GED) have been dropped for the 2024 model year. In their stead, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 introduces two new hues to the lineup, specifically Emerald Lake Metallic (paint code G6I) and Midnight Sky Metallic (paint code GXF).

Under the skin, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 once again rides on the GM C1 platform, with production taking place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. The start of regular production (SORP) began this month.

Notably, Cadillac will launch the next-generation Cadillac XT5 exclusively for the Chinese market, as confirmed previously by GM President Mark Reuss.

  1. Big deal. If they want to impress the ones interested in the XT5 ,make the 2025 model year available in this country.

  2. Before Cadillac goes fully electric in North America, it would’ve been nice to see the refit XT5 Gen 2 model still available while they transitioned.

Not EVeryone wants to buy an EV at this point and not having a decent sized vehicle ICE vehicle to sell is like shooting yourself in the foot!

The XT5 is one of Cadillac’s Best sellers so this makes absolutely zero sense!

    1. You are correct. Gm thinks XT5 owners will get the Lyric if the new XT5 is not available. They are very wrong ,they will drive these owners away.

  3. I bought a 2017 XT 5 in May, 2017.
Was planning on a new XT 5 in 2025.
    I will buy a new mid size 2025 SUV in 2025, won’t be a Lyric, won’t be a Cadillac.
