The 2024 Cadillac CT5 arrives as the fifth model year for the luxury sedan, introducing only a few small updates and changes compared to the preceding 2023 model year. As before, the CT5 lineup once again includes Cadillac CT5-V and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, offering up impressive go-fast specs for those customers with a taste for performance. Now, the official online configurator tool for the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V and 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is available at Cadillac’s website, giving fans a chance to spec the four-doors as they see fit.
The 2024 Cadillac CT5 was originally expected to introduce a refresh for the nameplate, as GM Authority covered previously. However, since the publication of that exclusive GM Authority report, new details have come to light indicating that the Cadillac CT5 refresh will instead happen for either the 2025 model year, or possibly the 2024.5 model year.
As such, the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V and 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing introduce only a few small updates and changes. One of the biggest is a new paint option list, with five colors deleted and four new hues added. The five colors no longer offered include (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Wave Metallic (GKK) (available since the CT5 launched for 2020MY)
- Rift Metallic (GRW) (added for 2021MY)
- Blaze Orange Metallic (GCF) (added for 2022MY)
- Electric Blue (GMO) (added for 2022MY)
- Maverick Noir Frost (GNW) (2023MY only)
Meanwhile, the four new hues available for the 2024 model year include:
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Velocity Red (G7C)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Black Diamond Tricoat (GLK)
As before, the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V will once again cradle the turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine, rated at 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing remains at the top of the CT5 performance hierarchy, running the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque.
The GM Alpha 2 platform underpins both model variants, while production for North America will begin at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan this July. Check out GM Authority’s coverage for in-depth 2024 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing pricing information.
