Refreshed 2024 Buick Encore GX Launches In Mexico

As confirmed by the automaker’s Mexican subsidiary a couple of months ago, General Motors has just officially launched the refreshed 2024 Buick Encore GX in Mexico.
GM launched the 2024 Buick Encore GX in Mexico, initiating the renewal of the brand’s product portfolio in that country, being the first vehicle to adopt both the new corporate image and the next-generation front design of Buick. In addition to the design improvements, the updated Encore GX reaches the Mexican market with a higher positioning, as only the two range-topping trims will be offered, led by the new Avenir.
“The new Buick Encore GX arrives with a modern and sporty presence that makes it stand out among premium small SUVs,” said Marketing Manager for Buick at GM Mexico, Ángel Pacheco. “Its technology-focused interior offers the new Virtual Cockpit System with the segment’s largest infotainment screen,” he added.
In particular, the refreshed 2024 Buick Encore GX launches in Mexico with a reduced offer that only includes two versions with the Sport Touring (ST) and Avenir trim levels, the latter representing the highest expression of Buick luxury, available for the first time on the small crossover. As such, the 2024 Encore GX drops the base Convenience and Essence trims to elevate its position in the Latin country’s premium crossover segment.
Both versions of the 2024 Buick Encore GX in the Mexican market are equipped with front-wheel drive only and boast their own distinctive looks, with blacked-out finishes on the ST and a brighter finish on the Avenir. They come standard with an extensive list of features, including the new 19-inch Buick Virtual Cockpit with two integrated displays, as well as the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T engine that develops 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque, mated to GM’s continuously variable automatic transmission.
The 2024 Buick Encore GX is now available for sale in Mexico with the latest technology and safety features, as well as different customization options with official accessories available at the brand’s dealer network. The model stands out for its higher level of refinement inside and for including the largest infotainment screen in its segment. Here is pricing for the two 2024 Encore GX variants in Mexico:
- 2024 Encore GX ST: 671,400 pesos (about $39,150 USD at the current exchange rate)
- 2024 Encore GX Avenir: 735,900 pesos ($42,900 USD)

Wow! Nice job Buick on the design. It’s one of the best looking SUV’s out there in my opinion. Hopefully one day you’ll offer these in a plug in hybrid or electric version.
The blue one looks very nice. Too bad about the crappy 3 cylinder engine. Pathetic.
