New 2024 Chevy Tracker RS Introduced In Mexico

Following the official debut of the crossover’s sporty looking variant in Brazil a couple of months ago, General Motors has just introduced the new 2024 Chevy Tracker RS in Mexico.

The 2024 Chevy Tracker RS arrives as the headlining addition of the nameplate’s fourth model year in Mexico, where the new Tracker was first launched in August 2020 as a 2021 model-year vehicle. The 2024 Tracker RS introduces sporrty design elements both inside and out that convey a more dynamic and youthful image to Chevrolet‘s subcompact crossover.

“Chevrolet Tracker is one of the most iconic compact SUVs in its segment, characterized by dynamic driving and outstanding fuel economy, and now is the time to show its sporty side,” said Chevrolet Marketing Manager at GM Mexico, Wilberto del Ángel. “The new RS version reinforces the attitude of people who value a different lifestyle, adding a bolder and more youthful image,” he added.

Cosmetically, the exterior design of the new 2024 Chevy Tracker RS stands out by including a bolder front grille with a three-dimensional mesh pattern, blacked-out overall finish with gloss black trim, gloss black 17-inch wheels and RS badging. Meanwhile, the interior design adds specific upholstery with red stitching and a host of standard features such as the latest connectivity technology and a panoramic sunroof.

The sporty character of the 2024 Chevy Tracker RS is only reflected in its appearance, since this version maintains the same powertrain as the rest of the lineup, which consists of a turbocharged 1.2L three-cylinder engine that develops 130 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque in the Mexican market, mated exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission. The new RS is available in five exterior colors and offers various accessory packages.

The new 2024 Chevy Tracker RS is now available for sale in the brand’s official dealer network in Mexico, expanding the nameplate’s portfolio and positioning itself between the LT and Premier trim levels. Like the rest of the variants marketed in the country, the 2024 Tracker RS reaches the Mexican market with units imported from the GM São Caetano do Sul plant in Brazil. Here are the prices of the crossover in Mexico:

  • 2024 Tracker LS Manual: 419,900 pesos (about $24,480 USD at the current exchange rate)
  • 2024 Tracker LS Automatic: 448,400 pesos ($26,140 USD)
  • 2024 Tracker LT: 475,900 pesos ($27,340 USD)
  • 2024 Tracker RS: 519,900 pesos ($30,290 USD)
  • 2024 Tracker Premier: 534,900 pesos ($31,180 USD)

  1. It does not get the interior update as the Chinese model.

  2. GM builds so many models. Tracker is on GEM which isn’t Federalized but doesn’t look all that much different than Trax which Brazil may get, too.
GM uses GEM, VFF, C1, EX22, DX22 plus others which just seems complicated.
