During a major annual event for the South American country’s agribusiness sector, General Motors announced the new 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight in Argentina.
The automaker recently announced the new 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight at the 2023 Agroactiva fair in Argentina, one of the most important exhibitions of the agricultural industry in that country, which has a close relationship with the local automotive industry that’s highly specialized in the manufacture of midsize pickups. The 2024 S10 Midnight will be the only novelty that GM will present this year for said segment in the Argentine market.
“We have an extensive and deep relationship with the agro-industrial sector through our Chevrolet pickups, which have always been a great work and comfort tool for the demanding daily life of those who work in the Argentine countryside,” said Commercial Director of GM Argentina, Raúl Mier. “We are sure that this new model will excite all visitors during the four days of the 2023 Agroactiva fair,” he added.
Unlike the model’s recent introduction in Brazil to establish itself as a new permanent trim level for Chevrolet‘s midsize pickup, the new 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight will arrive in Argentina this year as a limited special edition of just 100 units. This is due to the severe import limitations imposed by the Argentine authorities that affect the S10, which is imported from the GM Sao Jose Dos Campos plant in Brazil.
The only new features of the 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight involve its styling, highlighted by its darkened overall finish with matte black and gloss black body moldings that give it a very distinctive appearance. In addition, the S10 Midnight differentiates itself from other trim levels by including a unique grille finish with a black Bow Tie, LED headlights with matte black housings, and the absence of roof rack bars.
The new 2024 Chevy S10 Midnight will be officially launched in Argentina during the second half of this year, when it is scheduled to arrive at dealerships. Like the rest of the versions, the 2024 S10 Midnight is equipped with the Duramax turbodiesel 2.8L I4 XLD28 engine with 200 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. It will be offered in Black Gold White, Eclipse Blue, and Topaz Gray colors.
