Last Month To Order A 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV With Super Cruise

June is the last month during which it will be possible to order a 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV with Super Cruise, GM Authority has learned from sources familiar with the matter.

The Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance feature option for the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV will be built out following the week of August 21st, 2023.

Super Cruise (RPO code UKL) is available only as part of the Super Cruise Package (RPO code WK7) which is offered as an option on the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV Premier trim for an additional charge of $2,200. The Super Cruise Package bundles the following elements (RPO codes in parentheses):

Super Cruise is not available at all on the LT trim level of the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. It is also not offered on any trim level of the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV.

Production of both models is expected to cease permanently this year, as assembly of the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV and EUV is scheduled to end on November 7th, 2023.

The 2023 Chevy Bolt EV and EUV ride on the GM BEV2 platform, while future GM electric vehicles will feature the Ultium platform under the skin instead. The General plans to retool the GM Lake Orion plant in Michigan, where both Bolt models are currently manufactured, for production of the Chevy Silverado EV pickup following a multi-billion dollar investment.

Additionally, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV is in very short supply, with only 308 individual units of the EUV in dealership inventory at the start of April 2023. The high demand leading to low availability of the EUV results in part from the fact that both it and the Bolt EV qualify for the full U.S. $7,500 federal income tax credit available as part of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

Some dealers responded to demand with enormous markups, with individual Chevy Bolt EUVs priced at $54,670 or $57,190 in April 2023. For comparison, GM sets the MSRP for a Chevy Bolt EUV at $28,795. Potentially adding further to demand, a Kelley Blue Book report states the 2023 Bolt EV and 2023 Bolt EUV are the cheapest EVs to own over the course of five years.

As a reminder, both the Chevy Bolt EV and Chevy Bolt EUV are powered by a 65 kWh battery pack and motivated by a front-mounted electric motor. Total output is rated at 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque.
