General Motors revealed the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 in February, pulling the sheets on an overhauled cabin and several new tech features. In addition to these updates, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 also features new exterior styling, showing off a sharp design that’s sure to get noticed. Now, the GM Design team is lifting the veil on some early exterior concept sketches for the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4, providing us with an interesting look at the process behind the final production body.
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 design sketches were posted to social media by the official GM Design Instagram feed (@generalmotorsdesign), and were produced by Lead Creative Designer, Cadillac Exteriors, Ramesh Gound. Up front, the sketches show us the reworked front end of the 2024 Cadillac XT4, with a sculpted hood treatment and crest-like grille section that lends the fascia a crisp aesthetic. The lighting treatments include unbroken vertical lighting signatures that bookend either end of the fascia, while horizontal lighting bits extend the top-most grille line. Lower in the fascia, we see the rest of the front end finished in black, as well as the lower air intake, creating a sort of layered look the blends well with the chiseled hood and pointed grille.
Further concept images show detailing for the grille and headlight clusters. The grille insert creates a diamond shape that works well with the angular front end, while the headlights are stacked in vertical layers and are pushed towards the lower, outside corners of the fascia, as compared to a more traditional location in the topmost corners of the fascia.
The rear end is shown as well, with large L-shaped taillight housings that run down the edge of the rear pillars, leading into the rear hatch. Rectangular exhaust housings are integrated with the rear bumper, while the rear bumper itself is finished in black, complementing the front end and side skirts.
