Faraday Future, a California-based electric vehicle startup, has unveiled the all-new FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance. Positioned upmarket, this upcoming EV will serve as a competitor to the Cadillac Celestiq.
Limited to just 300 units, the FF 91 2.0 EV Futurist Alliance features three electric motors that develop a maximum output of 1,050 horsepower, allowing for a 0 to 60 mph dash of just 2.3 seconds. Equipped with a 143 KWh battery pack, this upscale luxury crossover also boasts a range of 381 miles off a full charge.
Of course, the interior of the FF 91 2.0 EV Futurist Alliance is also exemplary, and features multiple driver-facing displays, three 5G cellular modems, a 27-inch rear display, and the aiHYPERCAR+ software ecosystem. More specifically, this software allows the vehicle to learn user habits and create a more integrated experience. However, this AI system comes at a cost, and requires a yearly $14,900 subscription to access.
Speaking of pricing, the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance is tagged with a $309,000 price tag. Notably, the EV startup is asking for a $5,000 deposit – as well as an undisclosed destination freight charge – for customers to secure their own 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance.
For prospective customers who don’t want to pay full price, FF also offers the FF 2.0 Futurist for “just” $249,000.
Owning to its positioning in the luxury EV market, and its steep asking price, the FF 91 2.0 EV Futurist Alliance will likely serve as a competitor to the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq. The uber-luxurious Caddy offers customers the ultimate level of customization, as prospective buyers have the ability to outfit their Celestiq as they see fit. The high-tech features list is extensive, and includes the likes of a 55-inch edge-to-edge center screen and an all-glass roof panel using Suspended Particle Device (SPD), to name just a few.
The production-spec Celestiq uses a 111-kWh battery pack to power an advanced all-wheel drivetrain. Total output is a GM-estimated 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque, yielding a 0-60 acceleration of 3.8 seconds. The new flagship rides on the GM BEV3 platform, with handcrafted production expected to officially kick off in December 2023. Availability will be by waitlist only.

Not that the Celestiq is the most beautiful car I’ve seen (still like the CT6 looks better), but the Celestiq is light years better looking than this thing.
The FF 99 2.0 may be expensive but does not necessarily compete with the CELESTIQ. The CELESTIQ will be produced annually at less than 500 while Faraday is only producing just 300 cap. So I see nothing that says $300K for Faraday.
Yet another EV startup that will be biting the dust.
Come on big recession.
End the fad: Agreed. What I just can’t wrap my head around is how many ultra expensive EV’s there are. Why? I’m certainly for EV’s and I drive one myself (second full EV plus I had a PHEV), so I obviously like them. But I’m a realist and know that EV’s are NOT for everyone. I also feel it’s going to take 5 to 8 more years before this country is in a good place (infrastructure and availability) to go full on EV’s for maybe 60 to 80% of drivers. And still not for everyone.
What I feel is being done wrong here is that few if any basic and cheaper EV’s are being offered. GM had a good one in the Bolt and now sadly killed it. Instead of huge turds like this Faraday thing, we need way more 18,000 to 25,000 EV’s to get in the hands of average drivers.
So, it’s just a stretched out CUV? This industry is losing it.
This is a joke. You can not start an auto company with all the expenses of a start up and build only 300 autos to compensate for the total expense cost. Good Bye.
A modern Tucker.
Who would buy any vehicle from a startup, if they go out of business and you get in a fender bender or have a failed part, you are in big trouble, no parts or service. Like this beast, what happens with an electronic issue who are you gonna call? I guess you just tow your $300.000 junker to the junkyard.
I also have my doubts for its success. It looks kind of like a flying saucer with wheels.
Can anyone say DeLorean. FF is running on fumes and I would expect a chapter 11 bankruptcy by September. It takes billions to develop a EV and that is money FF does not have. Stock .33 today.
I’m not sure why everyone’s so negative lol This is light years better than a Tesla or anything near it, and the company has insanely rich investors and co partners. This is from actual people that are trying to disrupt big money company’s. Yes it’s expensive but they also have affordable models coming soon, this will help them to jumpstart! I say good work and i’m excited to see this unravel! Cheers!
Bill, Your thinking and words you speak are as crazy as the idea that you can cover all the expenses of a start up auto company with 300 autos. I just can not believe the words that comes out of some people mouth.
How is that crazy what are you talking about you nut bar. They are backed by huge huge companies? Not just relying on their sails. Check yourself mr.
I like the styling shift on both the FF and Cadillac. The designs are reflecting a move away from the now tired, boring SUV, crossover heritage. Competitive, yes, but both cars give us a look under the tent of the shape of things to come. Arthur C. Clarke once said you don’t find future trends on page 1 of the news, but buried inside. I think these ultra lux cars are a peek at the automotive future.
