Electric Cadillac Crossover Above Lyriq Caught Testing Again

General Motors is developing a new electric Cadillac crossover set to slot in above the Cadillac Lyriq with regard to the luxury marque’s EV lineup. Now, GM Authority spy photographers have captured the new electric Cadillac crossover out and about undergoing testing, providing us with another look at the camo-clad exterior.
This particular electric Cadillac prototype looks a good deal like another prototype that GM Authority reported on back in February, once again sporting a swirling black-and-white camo wrap to hide the styling underneath.
Despite the covers, there are still a few features and highlights we can point out from these photos. The proportions, for example, look to incorporate a relatively long dash-to-axle ratio, or at least longer than that of the current Cadillac XT6. The profile also reveals chrome trim around the side windows, while the door handles match those of the Cadillac Lyriq in terms of the flush-mounted design and overall shape.
Up top, we see a shark fin-style antenna mounted centrally on the rear of the roof. The roof also appears to have a three-pane glass section, with the front portion apparently opening up to let in some fresh air.
Moving around to the rear, the taillights of this new electric Cadillac crossover show a vertical layout with lighting elements running up the rearmost pillars. There’s also a center high-mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) in the rear spoiler, while the rear bumper appears to incorporate a tow hitch receiver.
Although it’s difficult to make out, the cabin features a driver instrument cluster similar to that of the Cadillac Lyriq, although the topmost panel may not flow all the way across the dash to the infotainment screen. Of course, the image may not be totally clear, either.
For now, the new electric Cadillac crossover is expected to debut sometime before the end of the year, with production ramping up during the 2024 calendar year.

Will this get a unIQue name or will it be an Escalade sub branded vehicle?
Ascendiq.
GM is going too far into all electric vehicles… I bet they will fall on hard times financially within 2 to 3 years. Ford and Toyota have a range of vehicles including some hybrid and plug in hybrid which I think make a lot more sense.
Elon will interview Mary Barra on Twitter in like 10 Minutes.

Doesn’t matter. Better late than never.
Mary doesn’t need to use Tesla plugs. Mary needs to go back to her kitchen and stop trying to prove she can lead as good as a man.
