The thing about traffic accidents is that sometimes there’s absolutely nothing you can do to prevent them. Sure, you can obey all the different laws and pay close attention to what’s going on around you, but there’s always that chance that something totally random and out of your control will blindside you. And that’s exactly what happened to the driver behind the wheel of this Chevy Silverado pickup truck, as seen in the following viral video.
Recently making the rounds on social media, the video looks as though it was captured by a dash camera mounted to a nearby vehicle. The video opens on a busy freeway in Southern California, with tons of cars spread out across the various lanes. The conditions are sunny and dry, with a blue sky above (save for the traditional SoCal smog) and the pavement is clear.
As the video gets under way, we see a black Mercedes-Benz sedan roll into frame. The Merc is rolling on black wheels and has tinted windows front to back. We see the sedan traveling at an acute angle relative to the other lanes, headed towards the rightmost retaining wall at a high rate of speed.
As the camera pans to the right, we see the sedan collide with a black Chevy Silverado, the front end diving underneath the driver’s side rear tire as the pickup is pitched upwards into the air. The pickup is sent into a spin, various items flying out of the bed as the ends swap around. The tail of the Chevy Silverado collides with an adjacent crossover, and we see the camera car slam on the brakes as the Silverado faces the wrong way down the freeway.
It’s unknown if anyone was hurt in the accident. What exactly caused the Mercedes-Benz to fly across multiple lanes and collide with the Chevy Silverado is unknown – after all, the rightmost lane was merging, rather than an off-ramp, so it’s not like the driver was trying to exit. Maybe there was a medical issue or some mechanical fault.
Either way, it’s a big hit. Watch for yourself right here:

Took out a GMC Terrain too. What was that little wheel at the end!
They were in the truck bed.
It’s a Jeep Grand Cherokee that the Silverado rolls backward into, not a Terrain.
What’s with the Mercedes?!
Black Mercedes. Black wheels. Blacked out windows.
Take a wild guess what the problem could be…
The easy answer: a lease, driven by a quota-hire, in a job three steps of complexity over what they can do, and they have a level of sheer arrogance to go with it. You see a LOT of this in the DC area.
Or, a gangster.
