Chevy Silverado Driver Forgets They’re Pulling A Trailer: Video

Oftentimes, drivers can misjudge how much room they have to maneuver when they’re unaccustomed to the length of their vehicle, or in a rush to get to their destination. Unfortunately for one innocent motorist, the driver of this Chevy Silverado 1500 did just that, bumping into them during a lane change.

In a post to social media, we find ourselves cruising down a highway at what appears to be reasonable speeds. Initially, there isn’t anything that stands out as abnormal, as we can see a Mazda crossover and a semi-truck meandering along. That is, until a Chevy Silverado 1500 comes into frame.

Photo of Chevy Silverado 1500 bumping into a Mazda crossover.

It’s apparent that the driver of this Silverado 1500 is in a hurry, as he performs an aggressive lane change despite the fact that he’s pulling a trailer. After speeding around the Mazda, the Silverado then performs another lane change, this time to get around the aforementioned semi-truck. This is where the driver misjudges the amount of leeway he has between the Mazda and the semi.

While on the brakes and without a turn signal, the Silverado driver changes lanes to position themselves in front of the Mazda. In doing so, the rear of the trailer taps the front passenger wheel well of the Japanese crossover, and almost causes the driver to lose control. Seemingly oblivious to the fender tap, the driver of the Silverado continues to speed away, while the driver of the Mazda begins to slow down, likely wondering what exactly just happened.

Thankfully, it appears as though there weren’t any serious injuries or damages done as a result of this incident. While the trailer did appear to sustain minimal damage, the Mazda appears to have gotten away with little more than a few scratches. Judging by the dent on the driver-side of the tailgate, it’s likely that is isn’t the first incident that the driver of this Chevy Silverado 1500 has been involved in.

This should go without being said, but even so, GM Authority would like to take this opportunity to urge our readers to pay attention on the road and abide by all traffic laws. They’re put in place for a reason.

    1. It what way would that warrant use of a gun? Your type of thinking is one thing that’s wrong in America.

      1. Exactly. I’m in Canada and am appalled at the increase in gun violence. We no longer attend races south of the boarder for that reason.

        2. Justine Trudy let’s you leave the country? Have your covid19 vaXX? The mAsKs will protect you from gun fire. Don’t worry, you don’t need the goods truckers bring you. Continue to roll over, N Korea would be a great vacation spot for the races.

They’re not going to figure it out. People can’t drive,
No common sense , in a hurry all the time , no respect for anyone, and it’s all about them. You know they are the only ones that matter. Get out of the way the pickup and trailer has important stuff to do. People the world is a mess.
I just retired Friday. Drove a 60’ tractor trailer for 41 years . No accidents, hundreds of close calls. Ok , I’ll stop with that.
    Sorry 🫤

    1. You’re absolutely right about how people drive. Everyone has to be in the front, and sometimes they’ll speed up just to make sure you’re not ahead of them.
Once they’ve got ahead of you, they’ll slow back down or go back to the phone they have permanently in front of their face.

  7. Driving like a fool for one. However I’d like to know if the one who got the video actually reported it to the police? You can screenshot the license plate of that truck and trailer. BN 36255 on the truck and J65 21E on the trailer. Call the local p.d. and show them that video. There’s only one truck with that plate number in that sequence. Could face a suspended license for all the infractions.

  8. The picture tell me a lot , although I wasn’t there.
The person had to have felt the trailer touch the car and never stopped to check it out. If I lived in a metroplex I would as well have a Visio device on the windshield. Hit and run in my book . And why are they even pull a trailer for that box ? Wouldn’t fit in the back seat or bed of the truck. Surprised they put a strap on it. Good job in that department. Lmao.

  10. Of coarse the truck driver felt it. That is a hit and run moving violation incident. I’m shure that it was reported to the law enforcement authorities. Forget all the Irrelevant, asenine firearms discussions. You’re all just talking a bunch of foolish nonsense that never happen. People need to think about what they are saying before they speak and especially when they write about their opinions.

  11. Staff, you should know that the mAsKs DON’T WORK if you paid attention to your NBC training.
The Shutdowns DON’T WORK as well.
The forced coerced experimental drugs including the covid19 vaccine are direct violations of the Nuremberg Codes.

Your opinion staff is not any better than anyone else’s on the board, it’s a Hypocrisy, and a rather poor leadership style.

You should be able to easily exceed the standards you set.
