Chevy S-10 Driver Rear-Ends Car, Flees Scene: Video

Public roads can be a very chaotic place. With so many moving pieces and variables, collisions are almost inevitable. Unfortunately, the driver behind the wheel of this Chevy S-10 opted not to stick around after rear-ending another motorist, instead fleeing the scene, as captured in the following viral video.

A Chevy S-10 in a viral crash video.

Recently making the rounds on Instagram, the video is only a few seconds long, and appears as though it was captured by the dash cam of another nearby vehicle. The video opens on a busy city street, where we see four lanes lined by buildings and sidewalks. The sky above is blue, while the pavement is dry. Visibility is good, although the sun is low on the horizon, casting long shadows on the ground.

As the video gets under way, we see a white Chevy S-10 pickup truck cruising along in the lane adjacent to the camera car, passing it. The truck is loaded with equipment, including a long ladder and a wooden box on the roof. Metal and wood bed stakes line the bed rails.

As the Chevy S-10 drives along, we see a white passenger car stopped in the lane ahead of it. However, it’s clear that the driver in the Chevy S-10 doesn’t see the other car until it’s too late, smashing into the rear end of the white car. The collision causes the wooden box on the cab to fall off, spreading junk all over the road.

Rather than pull over, the Chevy S-10 driver makes another bad call and decides to flee the scene.

After inching around the rear end of the white car, the pickup driver guns it, aiming for an adjoining street. As the driver makes their getaway, they hit another car that was slowly driving past, pushing past and scratching up the rear end of a second car.

  2. Wow. Not only did they rear end the white Benz, but totally bashed the other car while fleeing.
