Back in March 2022, GM Authority spy photographers captured what turned out to be a prototype of the Chinese-exclusive Cadillac GT4 luxury crossover. Today, we’ve captured our first real-world photos of a production-ready GT4.
Despite some camouflage surrounding the front Cadillac logo and the license plate, this Cadillac GT4 certainly appears to be production-spec. Spotting testing in Michigan and outfitted in the range-topping Platinum trim level, this particular luxury crossover is painted in Blues Blue (loosely translated from Chinese).
As a reminder, General Motors unveiled the Chinese-exclusive luxury crossover in May 2023. Positioned as the luxury marque’s entry-level offering in the Asian market, the Cadillac GT4 is based on the same GM E2 platform that underpins the Cadillac XT4.
In the styling department, the new GT4 is headlined by a new low-roof body style, which incorporates a bold stance and design proposition that is intended to attract a younger customer profile to the brand. To this end, even the GT4 name was selected to set it apart from the other luxury crossovers in its segment.
As a whole, the overall styling theme is largely based off the latest evolution of Cadillac’s Art & Science design language.
Moving inside, the interior of the GT4 was largely inspired by the Cadillac Lyriq. As such, the luxury crossover features a two-tone cabin and a massive 33-inch curved 9K dual-screen panel as standard fare. Interior colorways and finishes will vary based on the trim level selected. Aside from the range-topping Platinum, available GT4 trim levels in China include Fashion, Luxury, Distinguished and Noble.
The all-new Cadillac GT4 was officially launched in May 2023 alongside the second-generation Cadillac CT6 and the refreshed Cadillac XT4. The GT4 is manufactred at the SAIC-GM Dong Yue plant in China.

Cadilac should make that in the US & sell it as a replacement for the XT4!
Why? The XT4 just got refreshed
If available here in the States, this car would be a companion model as a coupe next to the XT4. Besides, the XT4 is doing well in sales volume to be replaced.
This is a really nice looks SUV, but if it’s not available in the US…WHO CARES !!!!!
What next? A cadillac super sports car only built for china? 🤣
GM get’s it now. Make ’em look like ICE vehicles with grills and such… That’s a beauty
