Over in South America, the Chevy TrailBlazer (with a capital “B”) is sold as a body-on-frame SUV, while here in the U.S., the Chevy Trailblazer (lowercase “b”) is offered as a subcompact crossover. Notably, the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer is poised to introduce a refresh, and now, GM Authority has caught the refreshed SUV testing as a camo-clad prototype in the following exclusive photos.
As readers may recall, the Chevy TrailBlazer was originally expected to get a full generational overhaul, similar to the next-gen Chevy Colorado pickup introduced for the North American market with the 2023 model year. Now, however, the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer is expected to get a refresh instead.
The launch of the refreshed 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer will coincide with a refresh for the Chevy S10 pickup, which GM Authority also recently caught testing as a prototype. Interestingly, the refreshed 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer SUV will present an updated front fascia and grille design similar to that of the refreshed 2025 Chevy S10, while also drawing similarities to the new look presented by the all-new 2023 Chevy Colorado sold stateside.
This particular 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer prototype appears to include placeholder headlights mounted high the in the corners of the fascia, as well as a rectangular air intake. We also see the panels covered in a body-hugging black-and-white camo wrap, which extends down into the six-spoke wheels as well. Further updates will be made to the rear fascia, which is once again hidden on this prototype model thanks to heavy vinyl covers.
More extensive updates will be applied to the interior, where the refreshed 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer SUV will present a look and layout similar to that of the third-generation U.S.-spec Chevy Colorado. This includes a new dash, as well as new tech bits like the infotainment screen and digital instrument cluster.
As for the greasy bits, the refreshed 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer is expected to cradle an updated version of the 2.8L I4 XLD28 turbodiesel Duramax engine producing updated power numbers. The diesel engine will mate to the revised eight-speed automatic transmission.
Expect the refreshed 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer SUV to launch in Brazil early next year.
