2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup To Offer New Lifestyle Adventure Package

The 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup will offer a new LPO-level or dealer-installed optional package, GM Authority has learned.

The new package, the Lifestyle Adventure Package (RPO code PCL), will provide camping capabilities on the Hummer EV Pickup itself for off-roaders and other outdoor enthusiasts.

The Lifestyle Adventure Package is available on all trim levels of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup, including the 2, 2X and 3X trims. It cannot be ordered in conjunction with the Off-Road Readiness Package (RPO code PCH), another LPO or dealer-installed option.

The Lifestyle Adventure Package for the Hummer EV Pickup consists of the following three individual elements (with relevant RPO codes in parentheses):

  • High Country 80-inch Premium Tent by Freespirit Recreation, LPO (SD1)
  • Elevate Telescoping Rack by Advantage, LPO (SL7)
  • Roof Cross Rail Package, LPO (VQQ)

GM hasn’t revealed pricing for the package, but the component parts are also available as standalone accessories, allowing an estimate of the package’s overall price. The Premium Tent is priced at $3,495 while the Telescoping Rack and the Rail Package cost $1,199 and $550 respectively.

GM Authority estimates the Lifestyle Adventure Package will carry an MSRP of around $5,500 based on these prices.

Start of regular production (SORP) for the 2024 Hummer EV Pickup is scheduled for June 23rd, 2023. Both the Hummer EV Pickup and the Hummer EV SUV will add a pair of dual-motor trim levels, the 2 and 2X trims, to the range-topping 3X trim.

These entry-level trims will potentially develop an estimated 625 horsepower and 7,400 pound-feet of wheel torque. In contrast, the powertrain of the 3X trim generates output of 830 horsepower, or 1,000 horsepower if equipped with the optional 24-module battery pack.

However, at the end of May, GM Authority learned the 3X will be the only Hummer EV Pickup trim to roll off the assembly line initially, with the 2 and 2X delayed to an unspecified future date.

As a reminder,  the GMC Hummer EV SUV and Pickup are sold out for at least the next two years. All trim levels use GM Ultium batteries to provide power and GM Ultium Drive motors to translate that power into motivation.

Both the Pickup and SUV configurations of the GMC Hummer EV ride on the wide-body variant of the GM BT1 platform, and are manufactured at the GM Factory Zero plant in Detroit, Michigan.

  1. I am not against EVs but it cracks me up that a lot of the new advertising and TV ads are geared toward these EVs going off-road, rugged terrain, the desert, Grand Canyon etc…. good luck finding a charging station. That said, this article’s reminder said the GM EV Hummer and pickups are sold out for the next two years, so hopefully by then customers can get the EV with the Adventure Package and maybe we will have solar-powered charging stations so they can go off-roading with no fear of not being able to charge.
