The 2024 Chevy Trax ushers in an all-new generation for the crossover nameplate, offering up a sharp-looking subcompact exterior, a roomier cabin, a new powertrain, and new tech bits. Previously, the 2024 Chevy Trax was unavailable to order with the Rear Park Assist feature, as covered by GM Authority. Now, however, GM Authority has learned that the 2024 Chevy Trax is once again available to order with Rear Park Assist.
For those readers who may be unaware, GM’s Rear Park Assist Technology provides the driver with “distance to object” and object location alerts to help them avoid collisions. The system was previously unavailable to order for the 2024 Chevy Trax, as GM Authority covered in February. Now, however, the feature is back on the crossover’s equipment list.
The Rear Park Assist feature is tagged with RPO code UDL, and was previously offered as a standalone option for $145. The feature also required the Driver Confidence Package, tagged with RPO code WPA and priced at $250. Now, however, Rear Park Assist is included as part of the Driver Confidence Package, rather than as a standalone option that required the Driver Confidence Package.
For the moment, official pricing information for the new Driver Confidence Package including Rear Park Assist is not available. However, assuming it’s the same price as the Driver Confidence Package offered previously, plus the cost of the standalone Rear Park Assist feature offered previously, pricing for the new package is expected to be $395 ($250 plus $145). As a reminder, the all-new 2024 Chevy Trax offers a single powertrain option, specifically the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine. Output is rated at a maximum of 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. Output reaches the front wheels through the GM six-speed automatic transmission, while the GM VSS-F vehicle set provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Changwon plant in South Korea.

I’m relieved. 2024 Trax is back on my list.
Whee.
i think that the new 2024 trax is a very nice vehicle now that it.s being made bigger than it was .i would very much like to get one but i understand that the dealerships here in central pa are haveing a hard time getting them .and i have bought a new 2022 equinox not quite a year ago .and also here in pa we should have all wheel drive but they don.t have .i have a couple good friends just told me yesterday that if they were all wheel they would buy one .
Also in PA. Considered the Trax but lack of AWD pushed me to the Trailblazer, I’m happy with it so far. Still waiting for the rear park assist retrofit though.
I like the ‘24 Trax, but they are still in very short supply. And ones that made it to dealer lots have tacked on additional dealer markups.
Can you imagine this vehicle with a hybrid system driving the back wheels adding 50 horsepower
I have a 2020 Trax love it. Mine is the ls model with front wheel drive and I love it I live in Pennsylvania and have been a few bad winter with it even with my Chevy Sonic prior if you know how to drive and go slow you don’t need awd
