Per previous GM Authority coverage, certain units of the Chevy Silverado were upgraded to a tilt and telescoping column due to a constraint of the manual tilt steering column. Now, this feature is no longer under constraint for affected 2024 Chevy Silverado HD units.
The tilt-wheel manual tilt steering column (RPO code N33) feature is available once again. Previously, this option was placed under constraint as of February 2023 production, but is returning with June 5th, 2023 production.
Typically, the tilting wheel manual adjustment with wheel locking option is equipped as standard on Work Truck (WT), Custom and LT trim levels. During this constraint, affected models were upgraded to the manual tilt and telescoping steering column (RPO code N37).
It’s worth noting that the manual tilt and telescoping steering column is normally available as an option on LT models, and featured as standard fare on ZR2, LTZ and High Country trims.
In other 2024 Silverado HD news, General Motors unveiled the off-road-focused HD ZR2 trim level back in April 2023. This all-terrain beast features a suite of goodies to take its go-anywhere prowess to the next level, including a 1.5-inch suspension lift, Multimatic DSSV dampers, specific front upper and lower control arms and specific steering knuckles, a larger steel transfer case skid plate, a front aluminum skid plate, a rear locker, and 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD lineup features the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, as standard. Meanwhile, the optional 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, which has been uprated to 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque for the mid-cycle refresh, is also available as an option.
As for transmission options, both engines feature the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic.
Under the skin, the Silverado HD rides on a more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform, which it shares with its corporate platform-mate, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD. Production officially kicked off in March 2023 at the GM Flint plant in Michigan, and few weeks later the GM Oshawa plant in Canada.

Has anyone taken possession of a 2024 HD from Canada yet, if so how long did it take from the build completion to get to the dealer and to you.
Other than some fleet orders that have arrived, we haven’t had any retail units show up just yet. Probably still 3 weeks away I’m thinking. They seem to be building them at a decent pace right now. That being said, I saw a Denali Ultimate HD a week ago that was bought from a competing dealer.
Ordered a Custom 2500 double cab gas engine only option was spray in bed liner on February 10th still not in production my guess is the sticker price isn’t high enough.
