2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition: Exclusive Availability Details

The 2024 Chevy Camaro will sunset the current sixth-generation sports car with a few special edition variants, including the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition. Although the Collector’s Edition treatment will be available across the trim level lineup, the package will have a production cap of just 350 units when applied to the ZL1. Now, GM Authority has learned exclusive availability details regarding the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition.

The 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector's Edition, limited to just 350 units.

According to GM Authority sources, the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition will have a one-time order process after GM determines dealer allocation.

As GM Authority was the first to report, 300 units of the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition will be reserved for the U.S. market. A total of just 350 units will be produced, all of which will be built at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. Production of the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition will take place over the course of two separate runs at the GM Lansing Grand River facility.

As for content, the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition gives a hat tip to the first-gen Camaro with allusions to the vehicle’s internal program code, Panther, via unique content. That includes two special paint options, Panther Black Metallic and Panther Matte Metallic, with the latter reserved for 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition models. Further package upgrades include 1LE aero components, 20-inch wheels, decals, and a smattering of Panther-themed Easter eggs around the cabin and body. In addition, each example of the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition will include a Shinola Canfield Sport 45mm watch.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 cradles the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, rated at 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Under the body panels, the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro rides on the GM Alpha platform.

  1. I’m on my third 6th gen ZL1, and while I love the car to pieces, there is no way on God’s green earth that I’ll pay north of $88k (before dealer markup) for an appearance package and a watch. Will be neat to see one, but to own – not worth it one bit.

  2. Agree but market will dictate selling price. With only 300 for the states. The sky is the limit.

  3. Sad GM has yet to put Dodge in their place. The only chance is the secretive Hennesy Camaro name appropiately The Exorcist. Gone are the days of the late 60’s and early 70’s when the SS Chevelles ruled the roost.

    1. Oh? Just run it around a road course…
“The Throttle House YouTube channel released a separate comparison video featuring Road & Track columnist Jason Cammisa (below) between the two cars, taking them on the road for evaluation, lapping them around a track, and doing a drag race of their own. Amazingly, it’s the less powerful ZL1 that comes out on top in both the drag race and the road course lap time comparison.”

  7. I have a Order Workbench for a ZL1, but it’s not the collector’s edition.
I sure hope my dealership received an allocation because I’m number 1 on the list.

    1. I ordered a 2023 from my dealership in Oct of 2022 and was #1 on their list, 8 months later and still no allocation. I found what i wanted at a dealership about 225 miles away and jumped on it. Hard to find with every option. Good luck!

  8. Does anybody know how the ZL1 numbers 1 to 350 will be assigned? Date order received by GM?

  9. Will be interesting to see how they allocate 1 to 350 yes. But come on, 14,000+ for a sticker package and the dealers i’ve called are trying to get a minimum 20K over asking to even have a chance at it? Spare me for a car with no true upgrades outside of a logo they had lying around the warehouse

  10. Or you can Normal one get it wrapped and save tons of cash

  11. If someone can find me a SS collectors I can get, I will gladly pay $25K over sticker PLUS a $5K finders fee for whomever helps me.

  12. Try ordering one. Its next to imposable 5 dealears would not even try a 6th one I got to place to place order for one of the 300 LT1 They did on the 17th and they still do not know if it will be accepted by GM.

Seams like a big skam GM Factory should have just held a lottery for the right to order if you Won a slot.

Now it will be some out of the world price.
Likely GM will loose custumers over what you can and cannot order.

I had the same issue with my 2016 SWB truck. The Dealer keeps trying to get me to sell it back to them because they can’t get one. I keep telling them replace it with a 2024 single cab Highcontry with 6.2 and I will trade it in. Dealer can’t GM no longer allows a order for LT threw high country in a single cab with 5.3 or 6.2.

  13. I ordered a 2022 Camaro over a year ago and have been in line since then. Finally got the call and the offer to purchase the ZL1 Collectors edition. Isn’t the ZL1 1LE I had on order but thought I would be stupid not to take that order!

    1. Which dealer did you go through mate, im trying to get one to bring back to Australia

  14. Andy, I hope from what you wrote that you’re taking the Collector Edition. If you turned down the ZL1 Collector Edition, you made a big mistake! Only 300 allocations for the ZL1 Collector Edition are being produced for U.S. purchase, an instant rarity. You’ll have to pay $90,000 for it (MSRP, but I suspect most dealers will mark it up over MSRP by a bunch), but it will probably be worth twice that amount in 6 months. With approximately 2,900 Chevy dealers is the U.S., the 300 allocation means only 10 percent of all Chevy dealers will get one ZL1 Collector Edition!

    1. I would love to know which Dealers will be getting them and il fly out from Australia to grab one and take it home with me

  15. Dan, Fifty of the 350 are reserved for world-wide distribution. If I were you, I’d contact GM and find out the allocation process for the other 50. Maybe GM can tell you of which Chevy dealers in Australia got allocations. The allocations for U.S. dealers have gone out. Possibly overseas dealers as well.

    1. No one in Australia is getting them , i contacted GMSV the Australian division of GM so to speak and they have no intentions, thanks for the advice il start contacting GM in the US direct

  16. Any 6th gen ZL1 is a “collectors” item already … they aren’t easy to get … best bang for the buck ..
one extremely well done piece of GM engineering that is an experience to drive no matter what . Collectors edition or not it’s still a 6th gen ZL1 and yes it would be nice to say it’s the collectors edition … but again … it’s still a ZL1 and that says it all right there … ZL1 Camaro ….
The most powerful Camaro ever built by GM and one serious track car at the same time …
All for a price that’s very hard to beat considering the technology and engineering your getting your hands …. If you could get one of the 350 of the collectors editions I’d say go for it … you wouldn’t regret it
But I’d say the same thing for any ZL1 6th gen
You wouldn’t regret it .. because of what it is ..
The Legendary ZL1 Camaro in its purest form .
