GM is planning to commemorate the final model year of the current Chevy Camaro generation with the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition, a limited-run variant of the muscle car’s top trim level, which will have only 350 units produced in total.
In addition, each of the 350 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition vehicles will come with a Shinola Canfield Sport 45mm watch.
The Shinola Canfield Sport 45mm wristwatch currently comes in five different face colors and features a polished stainless steel case 45 millimeters in diameter. At this moment, it’s unknown what the version of the watch that will come with the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition ZL1 will look like.
The special edition watch might come in an exclusive color, possibly matched to one of the available paint colors for the 2024 Chevy Camaro. The wristwatch might also feature a Camaro or Panther logo.
The Canfield Sport wristwatch features sporty styling, a ceramic insert, and a precision Argonite movement. The design incorporates three sub-dials within the main dial, plus a dual calendar aperture that displays the month and day. The watch includes four hands – hour, minute, second, and a fourth hand tipped in a tiny crescent that points to the day of the month printed around the dial’s outer rim.
Shinola, maker of the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition commemorative watch, claims its name comes from the phrase “you don’t know s*** from Shinola,” used in an argument over the company name. Perhaps appropriately for a watchmaker producing a watch for a car company, it is located in the “Motor City” of Detroit.
Shinola operates a 95,000 square-foot production facility in Detroit’s historic Argonaut Building, also known as the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education. The building itself has ties to GM, having been built in the interwar period as the headquarters for Argonaut Realty Corporation, a subsidiary of General Motors. It stands across the street from GM’s former headquarters, Cadillac Place.
Shinola now makes jewelry and operates a hotel, but continues to make high-quality U.S.-made watches as its primary business. These include many special editions, such as the Lake Erie Monster dive watch and now, the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition watch.
As GM Authority was first to report, GM is offering the Collector Edition package on all trim levels of the 2024 Chevy Camaro as a farewell salute to the nameplate.
Only the ZL1 trim will be paired with the Shinola Canfield Sport 45mm watch, but all trims get a unique front fender script, a panther-themed steering wheel badge, unique floor mats with a laser-etched aluminum Collector Edition logo, and unique black interior fittings.
For the exterior, the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition gets Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint, plus Satin Black accents stripes, 20-inch Satin Black wheels (or optional Polished Forged Wheels), and the front splitter from the 1LE package. Exclusive to the ZL1 trim is the Panther Black Matte (paint code GNW) paint color.
The ZL1 Collector Edition package is priced at $14,995. For the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1, which has a base MSRP of $73,695 including destination freight charge, the total price with the Collector Edition package and the Shinola watch adds up to $88,690.
Orders for the 2024 Chevy Camaro opened on June 15th, while production starts in August, as exclusively reported by GM Authority.

I have to admit, the watch name coming from the “You don’t know _hit from shanola phrase was a very laughable morning greeter with a mouth full of coffee 🤮….
And knowing I never owned a vehicle until I returned from my first (USMC) tour in Viet Nam and buying that 1967 Granada Gold Camaro from the dealers showroom floor for a mirror $3.700…..at 20 yrs of age!
I kept her for almost five years, selling her to help pay for our first child…..
Back in the day….
Man I miss that ride….
Great story. Thank you for your service. I hope you end up with a new ZL1.
“hmmmm we don’t really want to do more than a sticker package, but we feel like the Camaro needs more… OH! How about we just through a random watch in there??? People love watches!”
Well that’s great a watch with a camaro ‼️‼️‼️I am very not happy that the camaro is going to be discontinued I have 5 Camaros and 1 of them is a 2010 it’s a GREAT car …. So now chevy. Just shot them selves. It the foot and are go to make Mustang 1 again what hell are you guys and women thinking‼️‼️‼️it’s going to another sad day when Camaros are gone😬 and PS FORGET ABOUT A ELECTRIC CAMARO
Surely there’s more to the package than what they listed above, for $15,000. I was lucky enough to get a 23 ZL1 ordered for the build cycle, one and 13 for the United States. I can only imagine how long it will take to get an order in for this addition.
And to add on the electric Camaro, you’re right, it won’t fly for me will see if GM loses it altogether. I realize the Camaro doesn’t sell the numbers it used to mostly because of a four-door and who knows maybe the profits just aren’t there good luck and a lot of us will miss the Camaro.
Shinola watch? Is this a joke?
Are we for sure there will be a final addition camero, Or is this some kind of hokes to get us excited about one more year of cameros?
How about not charging me $14,000 for stickers, never mind throwing in the watch and I’ll use the money and buy myself and my wife a Rolex?
A true Matte Black paint job is insanely expensive and likely done by hand, that is the lions share of the package cost
Im trying to find out from anyone, who I can get in touch with , to find out when, and where this watch is coming from. No one, I mean no one, can tell me anything. Ive exhausted all avenues to get any answers regarding this watch. I bought a ZL1 panther 2 months ago, and Im still in the dark about the watch. Ive even contacted Shinola, and they said to talk to Chevy/GM.. Can anyone, shed some light on this for me, regards Robert .
