General Motors is gearing up to launch a brand-new generation for the Chevy Traverse crossover with the release of the 2024 model year. The next-gen 2024 Chevy Traverse is expected to introduce a wealth of changes and upgrades, including an overhauled interior, a new engine, and a new trim level lineup. In addition, the 2024 Chevy Traverse will usher in new exterior styling, and now, GM Authority has rendered the 2024 Chevy Traverse.
The rendering takes inspiration from a multitude of 2024 Chevy Traverse spy photos that GM Authority has accumulated thus far, while also continuing the Bow Tie brand’s latest styling language used in conjunction with its various utility models.
The new front fascia incorporates a long, horizontally oriented lighting signature that runs fender to fender under the hood. Placed front and center in this lighting signature is an illuminated Chevy badge, while underneath it, we see a squared-off air intake section with horizontally oriented grille slats finished in black. The primary forward lighting is seen in the corners of the bumper, per Chevy’s two-tiered lighting motif.
The profile was redesigned as well, pulling inspiration from the Chevy Blazer EV. One of the most prominent bits of design in the sides of the vehicle is the rear quarter window, which incorporates an obtuse trapezoidal shape with a large fin-like rise in the C-pillar and tinted glass, resulting in a stylish “floating roof”. The wheels are new as well, and incorporate six split spokes with thin, polished metal and black inner pieces.
The styling changes continue into the rear end, where we find a new taillamp design that wraps around from the fenders into the rear hatch. The rear hatch trim is done in black, while the four exhaust pipes terminate in square tips.
As GM Authority was the first to report, the all-new 2024 Chevy Traverse will also be equipped with the new turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, while a new off-road-oriented Z71 variant will join the trim level lineup. Production kicks off in December.

This is a great looking truck, I love the size of it. Hopefully the new engine will be a great fit for it, with a little improve fuel MPG It would be nice to see about 24 MPG rating average all around.
Truck??
Most of the automakers are going with turbos with smaller engines now! Trouble and problems down the road!
Looks really good in IMO! We have a 2013 and would like to trade in 2024. Who knows with the prices of everything. It is complete insanity especially with trucks right now. Special thanks to pedo Joe for our economy.
If that is what it looks like, not a fan. I don’t know why, but that front end is giving me 1980’s Chevy Astro vibes, and that ain’t good…
My problem with the Astro was they didn’t take it far enough. Truck chassis, solid powertrains, floated like a caddy. The Chevy express also is a solid vehicle. People today take sprinter vans and think their something special yet the Chevy vans look way better IMHO, and many of their conversion variates are awesome vehicles.
I also thought the new traverse was going to get more of a suburban hood line.
That’s why Sprinter vans are outselling the Chevy van like crazy, right Steve?
It’s the LED Bar approach that’s making it look somewhat boring and also a design approach that is being cloned on just about every Chevy Vehicle.
I dunno. I thought the spy shots have the front end a blockier look than that. More truck-like. And again. I just don’t see why they’d do a light bar. It’s not a 1989 Grand Prix Sedan. I think the C pillar will be slightly larger and the glass that overshoots the c-pillar to the rear doors will probably be less smooth. Just a guess.
When will the “floating roof” styling element die?!?!?
It’s SO gimmicky.
Just STOP already.
It’s as if they made it easy on themselves as designers to simply make it all look alike when it comes to this approach, it’s beginning to become a snooze.
Hideous front end and engine needs to be bigger for that size crossover.
Yeah. And they lowered the headlights so the road stones can get to them easier. Glad I bought the ’23.
GMA, you redeemed yourself after the rendered Tahoe. Still don’t care for the horizontal grill but the light bar seem to work a lot better here then the Tahoe. The profile body creases and the floating roof looks great as well as the tail lights.
Thumbs up to you.

Nice
Good rendering , the transverse will need to do something to become more competitive . It’s nice suv but the equinox is the better seller of the two and and doesn’t compete with ford explorer much :
Is the C-Pillar so ? or is a rendering error ? if is really so, it is strange, the rest is a normal car.
See the other article comparing the GM Design sketch and the camouflaged prototype. This isn’t the exact shape of the C-pillar, but it’s the same idea.
I watched a lot of videos on the 2023 traverse and I preferred the high country model, but some times corporate makes decisions in the wrong areas, I don’t have the money to own one yet, and there wasn’t a dam thing wrong with the motor choice of the v6,this is what’s called, best leave well enough alone, dumb ideas can effect other people in the wrong way, it’s a dam shame I don’t have the lottery money and I’m not on the board with the corporate idiot’s, I would tell them your not changing a dam thing, and until I see a new 2024 ,I’ll stay with the 2023, there’s nothing wrong with the 2023, but it would be interesting to see the traverse in a off road 4×4 lifted version, cause a lot of people are putting lift kits on perty much anything if they convert right, it can be done,
