In addition to the updated 2024 Buick Envision S leak in China, the upcoming refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus has also just been fully revealed in the Asian country.
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has released the official future product statement of the SAIC-GM joint venture for the upcoming refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus, leaking the appearance and main features of Buick’s refreshed three-row crossover. The Envision Plus is an extended-body, long-wheelbase version of the second-generation Envision that’s exclusive to the Chinese market.
The first images of the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus leaked by Chinese authorities show the refreshed crossover in white and two different trim levels, including a plain-looking base variant and a more-equipped one with roof rails. In addition, several details of the 2024 Envision Plus’ exterior finish are also highlighted – some of them corresponding to the range-topping Avenir.
Like the 2024 Buick Envision S, the cosmetic changes to the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus are concentrated primarily at the front, where it maintains the same split-headlamp format and overall look of the standard model. However, the 2024 Envision Plus will continue to offer unique front-end features such as a larger grille, a slightly higher-positioned shark-nose shape, and new bumper-specific moldings.
The rear end of the 2024 Buick Envision Plus also receives notable changes such as slimmer and horizontally elongated taillamps, an updated bumper and new tailgate stampings. The 2024 Envision Plus will retain the base 1.5L turbocharged engine with 155 kW or 208 horsepower, and the 2.0L I4 LSY engine with 174 kW or 233 horsepower, mated to GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission.
The upcoming refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus is expected to make its debut and be officially launched in China during the second half of this year, when the vast majority of the brand’s models are scheduled to adopt the new global corporate look. Unlike the 2024 Envision S that’s equivalent to the crossover sold in North America, the 2024 Envision Plus will remain an exclusive model for the Chinese market.

U G L Y ! I’ve hoped since the Envision debuted, that it would gain a slightly more attractive grill, AKA lowered in the center instead of so flat, along with a slight power increase. Was seriously considering this vehicle despite being made in China, however, now…. It is a hard pass!
What a shame. Had a classy looking vehicle in the Envision ( which I own one). Never will buy this style as it looks like a Ford Escape. It would be nice to see GM become a leader again, instead of a follower
Right, I was thinking Ford Escape, too! That isn’t luxe!
Envision, overall, is a smart looking car. I’m surprised 3 row hasn’t come to US market. It would be a good TourX replacement and covers one of those “white spaces” Buick seems to chase. It wouldn’t cost GM much to import the car. Watched an Envision review and it called Buick “one of the fastest growing US brands”. Since when?
I think the new Encore GX looks just like the Escape, too.
Horrible front end. Just horrible.
Buick and “Pure” front ends suck. I like the current winged, eyebrow shaped daytime running lamps like seen before refreshed Envusion Encore (China), Encore GX and fee ace of TourX is great, too.
Buick had a great design language before Wildcat
I imagine this would be similar (or exact) to the Buick Enclave refresh coming later this year. To my eyes, far from ugly and definitely not a Ford Escape (not even the same size LOL).
The Enclave already got a refresh for 2022. The next update should be an all-new version in 2025, with the Traverse and Acadia. Or maybe you meant the Envision, which should be the same update as the Envision S shown above.
Another inverted bathtub. Where’s the tri-shield? All I see is a chrome dribble in its place. How about a real Buick?
Great, now it looks like a Hyundai or Kia…only it costs more.
