Chevrolet Japan has announced the special Chevy Camaro Vivid Orange Edition that will be limited to a total of 20 units nationwide.
The Japan-exclusive Chevy Camaro Vivid Orange Edition is based on the SS trim of the Camaro equipped with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.
The coupe features Vivid Orange Metallic paint (color code GCF), a Silver center stripe (RPO code DUV) on the hood, a Jet Black interior colorway, and RECARO Performance front bucket seats (RPO code AQJ).
Pricing for the Chevy Camaro Vivid Orange Edition starts at ¥8,930,000, which is equivalent to approximately $66,500 USD at the current exchange rate. The standard Chevy Camaro SS trim starts at ¥8,100,000, slightly more than $6,000 less than the Vivid Orange Edition. A similarly equipped 2023 Camaro 1SS retails for $45,350 in the U.S., destination freight charge included.
GM previously launched a Chevy Camaro Rapid Blue Edition in Japan during September 2022. The Rapid Blue Edition featured Rapid Blue exterior paint combined with a pair of black Rally Stripes and sporting the Ceramic White interior colorway. The edition was limited to 20 units and Japan-only sales, similar to the Vivid Orange Edition, and was based on the local LT RS trim level.
The Rapid Blue Edition was priced at ¥6,600,000, equivalent to $46,314 USD at the time. Customers placing a pre-order for the vehicle received a special canvas tote (pictured below) featuring an original Chevy-themed superhero created by local Japanese artist Sanpei Hirado.
The Chevy Camaro Vivid Orange Edition, like the standard Japan-market Camaro SS trim, is motivated by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT1 gasoline engine, rated at 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. Under the body panels, all variants of the Chevy Camaro ride on the GM Alpha platform,

She’s a beaut! I still don’t understand why anyone would choose a Mustang over a Camaro.
Because they don’t know that their Mustang is actually built on a Ford Explorer SUV chassis lol…
It still upsets me that Chevy never advertised the Camaro, through its whole 2010-2023 life. I think they seriously missed the point for getting people excited and into the Chevy lineup.
Btw 2010-2015 compared to 2016-2024 are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CARS. The 5th gen was built on the Zeta platform used on the Holden Commodore. The 6th gen is built on the Alpha platform used in the Cadillac ATS. Completely different cars.
Now offer a limited run of Hugger Orange for the USA with option for black or white stripes.

Yet another GM political and incentive based decision to end Camaro production. Again.
The new Camaro is such a great design and engineered vehicle. Not much compares to it.
Unfortunate that GM can’t figure out how to make any profit on 24,000 Camaro sales.
2022 Annual Sales:
Ford Mustang – 47,566
Chevrolet Camaro – 24,652
Hummer EV – 856
And Hummer EV production continues. The power of Government incentives is amazing.
Thank you for an absolutely uninspired jet black interior. How about at a minimum adding orange stitching on the seats, steering wheel and door trim. Or add a little more with an orange stripe on the seats and an orange insert on the door panels and maybe a couple of pieces of orange trim on the dash. SOMETHING, just add something other than an all black interior.
Mike, I have a ‘22 LT1 painted and striped just like the one here except, like you, I hate black interiors, so I ordered the Ash Grey interior.
Is a Camaro sold in Japan a RHD or LHD?
Great question. I would hope GM would be on the ball with this.
