  1. So, black with black, black with light gray and black, black with Spam and black, and black with light beige and black. And a green so dark, it might as well be black, with black. I don’t want to drive in a vinyl-coated electric oven.

    1. And in the one I sat in, the Sky Cool Gray is indistinguishable from white. They look great in photos, most of which are subtly tinted to tone them down, but I am not sufficiently fastidious enough to keep almost white seats looking good.

  2. Only you can’t buy one

  3. Are they actually building Lyrics?
I’ve reserved a Lyric and have received zero communication from Cadillac regarding status.

    1. Yes they are building them and production of 24s start in a mater of days.

  4. Good luck finding one to buy!

  5. Finally, there are only 3 different standard interior choices : only 1 for the Tech model and 2 for the Luxury and Sport models and 2 optional interiors for the Luxury and Sport model for a grand total of 5 interior choices. Why make such a long article and show so many identical photos to suggest that there are so many choices?

  6. I want the one that doesn’t have a black steering wheel and black upper dash.

    1. Then you want: Juniper with Sky Cool Gray accents interior colorway

  7. I’ve often found car interiors look completely different in person compared to these rendered images. If you can, it’s best to check it out in person.

    1. Correct, but so far examples at dealers have been few and far between and the only ones I have heard of were in the Cool Sky (AKA white).

  8. One dopey thing is that the grey interior is a standard interior so it is the same price as the black one. Mine is white, they only insist that all exterior colors be $625 plus sales tax optional Black, but with the 2024’s they arbitrarily won’t allow white with the half-stripped tech trim.. Dumb !

  9. GM launches have been a catastrophe the last few years. Corvette, Colorado, Lyriq. Undermines your confidence in making a reservation or placing an order.

  10. This is completely wrong. The selections are limited to noir and sky blue, no super cruze, no package 3 for the sport model, no panoramic roof, no 22″ wheels, no all wheel drive.

I know this as I am first on the list at the local dealership and tried to build out the package 3. Not available. Only a basic package 3 model is available.

Cadillac is so far behind in production it could be 2024 before such are available. I actually got bumped from a 2023 to a 2024. Good luck to anyone expecting more.

  11. As of today, July 12, 2023 I just placed an order in Jersey for a sport 3. exterior:black metallic, interior: juniper gray NAPA leather. was quoted 4 to 6 months for delivery. my dealership has been getting 3 every week so for everybody saying that they’re not available, I dont know where you live, but you should check with your dealership and good luck

    1. Mark:
Early on, Cadillac said they were going to send more cars to areas that already had lots of EVs, like Southern California, where you see three Teslas at every stop light, NYC and probably where you are. There could be several reasons why they did this, but they never announced their reasoning.

I’m in Sacramento and while there are more EVs (mostly Teslas) here every day, it is still not an area overwhelmed with EVs.

I talked to my dealer last Thursday and they have received in total 4 DEs and four 2024s (including one demo -all RWD) with seven due to arrive in the next 30 days. Unfortunately, mine is not among them. ☹️.

The dealer won’t say how many are on his wait list or even offer a guess when mine might arrive. Based on the minuscule production numbers and my order is for a white/noir Lux2, dual motor, I’m guessing November to January timeframe – a total of about 18 or more months on the waiting list. Fortunately, I have a low mileage MKX I’m driving so I can afford to wait.
