When you think about it, the simple act of driving on the freeway is actually kind of crazy. There you are, in command of many thousands of pounds of metal, rubber and glass, headed down the road at 65 mph (or faster), just a few feet from several other folks doing exactly the same thing. If you’re not careful, it can be a recipe for disaster, as was almost the case in the following viral video featuring a Chevy Silverado pickup truck and Chevy Camaro.
Recently making the rounds on social media, the video is just a few seconds long, and appears as though it was captured on the dash cam of another motorist. The video was also apparently shot in Las Vegas, while the Chevy Silverado is seen wearing what appears to be a Colorado license plate.
The video opens with a long, straight highway, where multiple lanes are stacked on either side of the double-yellow line. Traffic is relatively light, with good visibility despite the overcast skies. The road looks bone dry.
As the video gets under way, we see a Chevy Silverado pickup truck cruising next to the dash cam vehicle. Further up in the leftmost lane, we see a red Chevy Camaro. The Silverado appears to be accelerating, and drifts over to the left lane directly behind the Camaro without signaling. The pickup continues to accelerate and drift to the left, and as it approaches the rear bumper of the Camaro, the Silverado crosses into the middle turning lane before it bumps into the sports car.
Suddenly, it appears as though the collision alerts the Chevy Silverado driver to the situation at hand, and we see the pickup slam on the brakes and jerk back to the right.
Just in time too, as a white minivan in the other lane misses the pickup by what looks to be inches.
It’s unclear exactly what happened with the Chevy Silverado driver, but a few options may include a medical condition, falling asleep, or perhaps intoxication. Either way, all parties are lucky this didn’t end with a head-on collision.

What the neck was that all about?
Kinda seemed like the Silverado driver wasn’t paying attention. Perhaps they were on their phone and they drifted into another car then corrected after.
If you have a job where you drive a lot you will see this kind of stupid crap ALL the time.
Of course the two lanes that were open on the right were too obvious to use! Tomg
